Review: Oregon Smart Baby Ultra Violet Monitor

Ha, what a long name!

Oregon Smart Baby Ultra Violet Monitor

I got this baby last summer when I saw it in a baby magazine. It was 55€, but hell it's really worth all your money! For those who don't know what this is - it's a gadget that monitors the range of UV light. It's designed for babies / small children, but honestly, everyone can use it! I know this is not really beauty related, but then again, keeping our skin sane is beauty related! So, I got this and forgot about it right after the summer passed. But now I'm using it again. It's really practical, not too big, or too small. It's a size of a regular cell phone, pretty heavy too (as a cell phone).

First thing; you set your skin type (mine is 2 because I have light hair, light eyes, and pale skin), then you set your SPF. You can always change those two. After that, you press the UV/temp/degree button and wait for a couple of seconds, so it measures the humidity (plus it tells you the weather with a drawing on top of it), strength, of UV light, temperature. Then if you want you can check how long you can stay in the sun with your current SPF. You can even make it remind you when you have to get back in the shadow and reapply the sun factor. I mean, it's really genius! Tho it took me a while to figure it out without the properly written 'how to use' papers! Blah! But still, once you understand how it works, I'm sure you won't go out without it!

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5

Overall: I haven't found anything better when it comes to safety under the sun light. And it still works perfectly even if I didn't change its batteries for more than a year. I would recommend this kind of gadget to all of you who have kids, and are always concerned about their safety!

Two nails of the day and how I keep my necklaces

Hello everyone! As promised here is the way I keep my necklaces. I just made it yesterday, so it's still not pimped up! It's really simple and everyone can do it! And it's absolutely true. I don't own many necklaces, and they're all boring. Ahaha.. I know I should fix that.. But the thing is that I'm too picky when it comes to choosing a necklace, so most of them are gifts I received. Here are also two nail shots (both with white tips, ewww! Both are older than three days!). Experiment N#1: I put this on really quickly, and since I hate hate hate the color I tried to do some polka dots. As you can see, I wasn't really successful! I wore that style for a couple of days.. I know, I'm being lazy.. omg! Plus my nails are super short now since they 1) broke, 2) started layering. Experiment N#2: These are my nails today. Not so pretty, I just tried for the first time to do the.. stripes? Well it's funny. I love the nail polish alone, it's holographic, but there was no sun, so shame on me!

Two outfits - polyvore

I wanted to post my NOTD and the thing I did to store my jewelery, but then.. It's too dark to take good pictures. So it will have to wait untill tomorrow. Lots of things have happened lately. I am without my percious phone (E71) and I'm stuck with LG Shine, ew. Anyway... It sucks! I did two outfits using Polyvore. One is for a more sexy night out and the other for a still sexy, but more of a cute/casual night out. I absolutely love the monkey ring! It was fun, and I wish I could afford all these lovely things! But still, I'm pretty sure there exist some really good dupes out there.. So.. untill tomorrow ;).

Earrings collection + shoes from last post

Yay this is my 100th post! Hehe.. So I told you I will post my ear rings collection, and here it is! The pictures were taken all pretty quickly, so if you want a close up of any pair, etc. just ask! I'm currently keeping them on a paper stickied on my shelve. Not pretty, but practical. I may get something prettier to keep all my bling bling stuff. (if you click on the images, you can see bigger pictures!) First part, big ones: Honestly, I didn't know I have so many earrings! I didn't wear them for like 6 months, but then I decided to get them out of the box and wear them again! 1. Two, three years ago I got those for my bday from a friend - Katja. 2. These were the first pair I bought after getting my ears pierced. 3. I got those as an Xmas gift from the same friend Katja, this year. They're made of felt wool. 4. One of my latest purchases, I still didn't wear them. 5. These used to be my fav. I still find them to be really sexy. 6. Ah, medium circles, that don't touch on the other side. They are really tricky to wear. The other side gets stuck in my hair, auch! 7. I think these are the biggest earrings I own. I don't wear them anymore. Now I might wear them again since I know where they are! Second part, smaller ones: 8. My latest pair! My dear bought them the same day as the #13, I dreamed about them since the first day I saw them. Now I finally have them! 9. Another gift from Katja a couple of years ago. 10. I bought these when checking a store with a friend of mine, this summer. 11. Three pairs of hears! I must be obsessed with hearts, because I didn't even know I own so many pairs of them! One is in silver, then dark silver and black color. I wear these all the time! (got them in Muller, accessories) 12. Heart key. I got this from a friend, hmm.. there was a locked earring that matched with this one, but it got lost :(. 13. Ohh... I love love love these three! I got them from my dear, last week when we were checking some random stores in Portoroz. Super cute! 14. I remember that there were three pairs.. orange, light red and dark red. I think my sis stole one from me! :P (Muller, accessories) 15. Tamara got those from London for me, so pretty! I know I had sooo much more earrings, but they 'misteriously disappeard'... ahem. And for the last part.. Macodvisnica asked me if there was any close up of the shoes I was wearing in my latest post. Well there was none, so I took a picture of them alone. Hope this is what you expected as a close up! I remember raving about those last summer, I mean I wanted them soooo badly that at the end I end up getting them. I think they were 40-60€, I can't remember right. I got them in Vogelle Shoes, and they are super comfy! I have another pair of platform sandals, but these are my fav ones. They go with almost anything!

Outfit Of The Day: #1 casual dress

I'm sorry girls, I've been a bad bad blogger! I didn't post for, well a while! I was working, relaxing and well.. sleeping! The last two days I spent with my boyfriends, going around, checking some events and so on. I even started wearing dresses again! Even if well I don't look good in them, and even if I feel ugly lol. But I'm trying to develop some fashion sense, but I think it's hard to be fashionable when you're not size 0. But anyway here's the outfit of that day (I think it was Thursday?). Don't mind the big grin + glasses, because I honestly try not to smile with those mosquito glasses. But I'm in love with those, lool.. The high heels are super comfy, and well they seem almost like flats, which is funny because they're one of the highest heels I own (except ballet boots, ahemmm). Anyway my boyfriend insisted that I should post this picture, because he thinks it is cool. But I think he just wants to show off his new toy. Ha!
Driving around without the roof in the cabrio car, got me sunburned! Hell I forgot how annoying this s*** is! Last year and the year before happened the same! I insist in driving with the roof, since I'm a kind of a shy person, lol.. but nooo! We end up going around all the time without the roof. Grr, it makes me angry, since I'm trying to avoid the sun,... :P Anyway, I'm trying to lose weight. Hard! It's even harder when they I do promotions for sweet things. Geez. Tomorrow I'll show you some recent accessories + dress haul! I have to renew my wardrobe, since well.. nothing fits me well :P. xoxo Tamara

Review: Jojoba Oil

I want to introduce you an HG of mine. I know I've been neglecting my blog for a while, and I want to say SORRY!
The holy grail:

The oil is from some Mag. Milan Plešec and it's 100% pure jojoba oil. It actually doesn't have an expire date, which is simply amazing! I must say how surprised I was by this product. You can use it for almost anything, from skin care, hair care and so on. Okay, it's not edible but that's pretty much it. It comes in a cute plastic container with a small opening on the top. It's super practical for dosage! I'll just jump to the review.
The top part of the bottle:

The look of it on the skin - it looks like almost any other oil:

Pros:
+Cheap (7€ for 100ml which will last me for a year or so)
+Does great stuff to my hair and skin!
+A drop goes a long way!
+It's 100% natural
Cons: It has no cons! OMG!
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 5/5!

Overall:
I can't rave enough about how much I ♥ this product! It's fabulous! Perfect! I usually use it on the skin after breakouts, and the next day my skin looks and feels better. I think that if I used it on a daily basis I'd have perfect skin (first I have to use up my day cream)! I even use it for my hair, when they're damp because I have thin, dried out hair. And it does miracles, my hair looks nicer, smoother and healthier after this thing! I will surly buy it again and again and again! One funny fact! When it gets under 8°C it becomes wax like. So I'll make sure to keep it in a nice temperature all the time. Well, what to say? It has so many benefits and no negative consequences. Maybe someone won't like the natural smell, but I don't mind it since I'm a fan of natural skin care. So if you have a chance to buy 100% jojoba oil, give it a try!

NOTD: blue with a tone

Today I wanted to do my nails before I cut them. Why? Well they're kind of peeling off, cracking in some parts because they are too hard and so on. I think I can blame formaldehid in the Essie Fill The Gap nail polish. Oh well. Here is one picture, just for you to enjoy! I honestly don't have this color alone. I had to mix THREE colors to get it. A dark blue, light blue and a white color. After this picture, I took the nail polish off and put on another mixture (red coral and white) and added flowers. But my nails are now really short and remind me of buttons, so funny. Hopefully I'll manage to do some make up looks (I know I keep saying it), because on Friday I'll have my day off! YAY!

Newest blogger awards!

Awards galore: YAY I got some more awards, this time from the lovely Martha. This time I got FOUR of them but one of them is something I got a while ago, so I'm posting just three of them. Thank you dear! They are simply adorable! ^^ I pass them on to: Well actually I think ALL of you ladies deserve them so I pass them on to YOU ALL! <3.

Update: 21.06.09

Hello ladies! I'm sorry I didn't write much on my blog. But I was working my ass out this week! And the next one will probably be the same, but I'll try to make some MU for contests, and some manicure for another contest and so on! I also realized that shipping worldwide is honestly very cheap, because I thought it was expensive but nooo! For the two packages I sent I paid about 5€, tho I really thought that I would be paying more than 20€! YAY! Do you know what that means?! That I'll hold MORE GIVEAWAYS! :D I don't know when, but I'm sure it will be in a couple of months, or even before! They are just super fun! Talking about giveaway, check all the giveaways that are going on right NOW! I may do some MU today, but first I need to take a nap. Yesterday I was promoting sume sweet stuff and I worked for 11 hours straight. Standing. All. The. Time. It was fun, but tiring. Here's a picture I took back in December when I got this lovely keychain from my twin sis Parisky! Then I also bought the Nokia 7210 Supernova in white/pink which I still love but now I have a better one with Wlan (E71). The picture was actually taken on my black leather chair, haha! Isn't it just adorable? I'm a super fan of pink (in a combo of black/gray and white too!) xoxo, Tamara

No idea. Random stuff.

Today I wanted to post something interesting, but not now. Well maybe I will, but now I am at work waiting for customers to come. I wanted to say that 3 weeks ago I got the 2nd place in Roxy's giveaway but I still haven't recieved it :(. Our post takes too damn long! And today I got the 2nd place too in Kessa Thea book giveaway. YAY! I still need the addresses to ship out the items from my giveaway, but I know I will ship them ASAP. And when I will do that, I'll note the girls. Like a nice company, haha! Anyway, I'm tired. And I didn't do a sh... I've been here for 7 hours and need to stay for 3 more.. Bah, hopefully I'll manage to do my nails today. Have a nice day, everyone! XOXO.

Review: Fruit od the Earth Aloe Vera 100% Gel

Hello, everyone! It's finally time to write another review. I was thinking what should I review, because well I wanted to review something that is available in most countries wold wide.

And here it is! 100% Aloe vera gel from Fruit of the Earth, which is made in the USA. As first info, I'd like to tell that this is not 100% aloe vera gel because it has preservatives and stabilizers in it too. So not 100% aloe vera gel. But still. Let me tell you how I got to know this baby. A year or so ago started my mom's obsession with Aloe Vera. Everything that it in, was perfect for her. That's one reason why I couldn't even hear about aloe vera anymore... Well until this one. I found it in our bathroom, waiting to be used. I thought it was a hair gel, and I honestly didn't need it since I had another one.

But then I actually took it into my hands and read the info. OMG, a multi-use product! Well, I didn't believe that it was that awesome, I mean how could it be? There's always a trick there! Not with this product. Na-a. I used it practically for almost anything. Insects bites, hair gel, on acne spots to dry them out, sun burnt places, ...

Pros:
+ The use of it. You can use it almost for anything (okay not for lube, eating etc but otherwise almost anything!).
It has practically no smell
+ I have it in the size of 170g and it's going to last forever! (6oz.)
+ the price, here it is 10€
+ but not over 12€.
+It actually works. On blemishes, irritated skin, everything!!
+It is in of a gel-like consistency.
+The design. Pretty, sleek and superb for travel!
+It is not tested on animals.

Cons:
-The fact that if you put lots of it on the skin it takes some time to absorb it.
-After applying it, the skin gets a little sticky.

Rating: 5/5 ♥

Overall:
I love it. I honestly don't know how I survived without this product. Every summer I get bitten by mosquitoes and every summer I get the marks for at least 14 days. No product really helped me with that. But with this, I just apply it after the bite, let it dry (no scratching!!) and the next day the bite mark is absolutely gone! And for sunburns, it helps a lot because it cools the skin and helps the irritation. For better result, I keep it in the fridge because I love cooling products! I just can't rave enough about how much I like it. It's well perfect. You can get it in smaller, bigger, jumbo packages. It's practically for everyone. For men - it can be used as an after shave product, of they can put them on the irritated skin when acne starts from shaving. I'd recommend it to everyone. It's truly a must have and absolutely a holy grail!

NOTD: Classic with a flower

Helloooo! Yesterday I got bored of my nails so I decided to do a classic look. But well I wanted to go for a french mani with some nail deco, but I forgot to put the skin toned layer after the white line. So now they look kind of plastic! Here they are: Not all that interesting but fine enough for a decent classy look. I like them and they won't 'get into the eye' while I work. xoxo

Quick update

So you guys don't think I died or something :). Today I was super busy looking for a job and I hopefully found one! I was thinking about doing a contest look today. What do you think? Or I shall do my nails? I'm feeling lazy! xoxo, Tamara

NOTD: Pink and White Gradient + Stamping Kit

I really wanted to try out the gradient look since my sis kept raving about it all the time. At first I wanted to do a white/deep blue gradient but then I remembered that I loooove pink and it would look great in a combination with white. I put the white alessandro nail polish as a base, then added another layer of a white frosty polish from S-he and then started to do the gradient look. I kinda f* it up so I added a bit more of white and then pink (essie status symbol). This is what came out.

Photobucket
I loved it! But since I got the Essence stamping set today, I decided to give it a try! I was shicked to see that the ring plate didn't have a hole (the motives) but were like pressed into the plate ring. It was heavy too! But oh boy, it was fun. It was also a lot easier than I expected. I really thought that it would be a pain in the a** to do. But nooo it was lots of fun! Like too much of fun, I felt like a criminal actually, thehehe..
Photobucket
(super crappy image.. )
I used two motives and the white nail polish. It's really thick and it dries in seconds, but it doesn't go off once it's dried. I LOVE IT! Since I am a newbie, it came out really messy, and by messy I do mean it's actually hardcore messy. Plus my cuticles look bad.
Photobucket
Haha, how do you like it? I know it could be soooo much better, but since it was my first time and I was having a blast of fun.. I think it's okay. Kinda :)

FAILURE :(

FAIL! Ahhh the paaain! A couple of minutes ago I was around the town in search of a damn bubble wrap! But nooo they don't sell it separately (they sell only the bubble wrapped envelopes). Ahhh! And then we went to check Muller (oh I knew I shouldn't the moment I saw the news). And I saw a full Secret Agent from Essence show off case (or whatever it is), filled up with new things! There was even this wanna be Konad like stamper + stamps ring + scraper + white or black polish. And since I knew that my sis wanted it... I picked one for her and then the black AND white for me. The price said 1,75€ so if I cheated I wanted to cheat cheaply. I cheated for this one + the black one.. ahr! But look at this, isn't it like a cute copy of the Konad set? But nooooo... when I had to pay the lady said they cost 3,57€ each. Okay that's not much but honestly I didn't want to spend so much since I am BROKE. I told her that in this case I'll take just one of them (for my sis), but she took too long, so my boyfriend decided to pay for me (thanks huuuuun!!). Now, I have two of them for myself and one for my sister. And I'm feeling so guilty, because I am supposed to be on a project 20 pan. Ahhhhhh the pain! Now I'll try to stick to the no make up/cosmetics buying untill I finish the project. Oh yes!

SeaGulls

This is completely unrelated to beauty, but since they were SO cute I had to share these with you! The place where we take dance lesions has this huuuugeeeee balcony (or sth) where every single year a seagull makes her nest. This year there were three baby seagulls and well last week they were even cuter (puffier!), but we only managed to take photos yesterday. Ahahaha, they're so damn cute! Chunky body, tiny long legs. Adorable!
If not cute, aren't they at least funny?! Btw those pictures were taken from a distance of 15+ meters, that's why the floor isn't straight (perspective?!). Maybe later I'll post some cute looks because, well today I'm hell of bored! xoxo, Tamara

Review: Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam

A while ago (maybe six months, maybe more) I bought this baby. Then I still believed that expensive is better and vice versa. At that time I also dreamed about high-end brands like Shiseido. Well, I still like those brands but from them I would only get foundations and maybe, I say maybe some eye shadows. But honestly, there exist good quality items that are wallet-friendly too.
Photobucket
It was quite pricey, well very pricey for a cleansing foam. It was 30€. But at the beginning it seemed worth all the money, I mean this is clinique!
Photobucket

What to say, the smell is quite artificial and smells like alcohol too. Not a nice gentle smell at all! With one pump you get lots of foam, and it's recommended to use two pumps for the whole face.
Photobucket

I really like the design, it's really practic except for the cap. I don't even know why am I keeping the cap! It gets all wet every single day, and that is probably not the best thing either. I will tell you about my experience with it. My first couple of uses and so on. I use Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation that is known to be long lasting and hard to take off completely. At the beginning, I cleaned my face in a record time, so it didn't clean well at all, plus I got that drying effect on my skin, one reason why I got blemishes instead of getting rid of them! But now I realized that I have to clean my face with this product for at least one minute in circle motions to take it all off. Everything gets off, but I still get the drying skin effect and I have combination skin! Imagine the people with super dry skin.

Photobucket

Now to the review.
Pros:
+It actually cleans off my Revlon Color Stay foundation!
+ and it cleans my skin otherwise
+I love foams, and this one is ooooh cute!
+One bottle goes a loooooong way, so long that I am actually thinking about getting rid of it ;)
Cons:
-It dries out my skin really badly
-The smell
-It doesn't do anything for my blemishes (okay it dries them out a bit)
-The price!
-The cap, ahh so annoying!

Rating: 2/5

Overall:
I tried to love this product, I really did but as long as it works for most people, for me, it does almost nothing. Okay, it cleans the super resistant foundation, but that is pretty much it. It makes me sad because it is very pricey and I could get better products for much less money. Girls! I need one tip. How can I make my reviews more interesting? I think they are plain boring?!

Make Up Mama's Giveaway!

Another super giveaway! Don't we all love giveaways? I surly do, especially now being on a project 20 pan! Make Up mama will be giving out three pairs of fake nails and fake lashes by Revlon (and we all read the ravings about how great they are!) Don't forget to follow the rules!
