NOTD: China Glaze Strawberry Fields

I got this lovely lovely nail polish from the even more lovely Nihrida (Thank you dear!!), you HAVE to check her out, her blog is pure awesomness!

And it is my first CG nail polish ever...  And you know what? I am madly in love.

It is a gorgeous hot pink with golden shimmer in it, which makes it a warm toned nail polish. It is a bit runny, but because of the thin brush the apply was really easy.

Now I know that this won't be my last CG nail polish ( I have added another nail polish to my WL - Orange Marmalade ... okay the whole Summer Days collection!!).

Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to... CG Strawberry Fields!! (for the first time with more than one or two pictures!)

Do I hear you go like OOOOH?!

Isn't it GORGEOUS?!
It is on my fav fav absolutely FAV list now! <3

One week without real blogging

I'm sorry ladies, but this week I won't be able to blog. I promise that next week there will be lots of blog updates :).
I am working  10h/day till Saturday when I will work for 6 hours only, but then I have to make a flayer and take some photos for work.

So I don't understand why some of you have to unfollow me? Because I didn't write anything creative for a couple of days?!

Bleh...

Birthday!

Yesterday... well was my bday. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but I had lots of fun! :D It was nothing all THAT special, since I didn't have a party or anything but still,...

I got my present from my dear a day before, because he couldn't wait (lol). It was two nail polishes from Jessica, one from the matte collection and one from their regular line. But then we must count another Jessica nail polish and a cute piggy calendar.
Hehe, sometimes he's so funny. I mean he didn't like colors on my nails, but after one year he gave up and started buying me nail polishes, lol.

I had a really simple manicure. French manicure + holo glitter .

My Outfit of the Day

I had the idea that we should go on the snow (about hmmm... 30 km in one way? I don't know). So I changed my outfit and off we went. But the thing is... (we went on Vremščica) that the snow was frozen. The road was super dangerous, and even having a 4x4 and winter tires it didn't make the road any less dangerous. After a car got stuck in front of us and my dear went to help to put on Snow Chains, I had enough of snow and wanted to go home :P. _Plus my adventurous spirit died when our car couldn't STOP with the hand break... I mean omg...

Well after all that shi* we finally managed to get a bit further, so I took some pictures.

I didn't even bother to walk on the frozen snow, I had my snow boots, but yeah.. not really safe.
Frozen

Can you see now?

What about now?

It was gorgeous, but... no thanks.
So we went back and since it was kinda in our way I went to Trieste to Sephora.
Sadly it's a small kind of store, so they don't carry brands as Urban Decay..

But I managed to get myself a Stippling brush #44, since I really wanted one for a long long time! A Sephora brush cleanser (it works OK) and a Say Yes To Carrots lip balm.

I don't really like the lip balm, it isn't really moisturizing :/. But the brush it's great! Because of it I use just a tiny amount of foundation and it covers my face evenly (you have to stipple it on the face!), giving me the most natural effect ever. But on the opposite I never liked my regular foundation brush from Isadora. It's just too much of a hassle to use :/.

Well then we finally managed to get home, and after a couple of hours we went out with a friend of his.
I ate the most delicious mushroom soup ever! :)
We got home quite late, but it would have been even a later hour, but sadly only about two pubs worked after midnight. And even those had too loud music :/.

That was pretty much it for yesterday...  The best part was falling asleep with my dear.

I hope your day was great too!
xoxo,
Tamara

Happy birthday to me!!

My sister wrote a great post with lots of funny pics, so go check it out here.

NOTD: Essence Obsession 2

Today I put on a polish you all have already seen on my blog, you can find it here.
It is called Obsession, by Essence.

It is a sheer pink/purple with purple/purple highlights and it has a frost finish.
It actually looks really pink in daylight (non direct), but in shadow it looks light purple. It is quite an interesting color.

This time I had no problems with air bubbles!

 Indirect sunlight

I was trying to model the phone charm I made from the small cupcake, it is for my sister.

Sunlight

Indoors (next to a window)

The color is pretty hard to capture..
How do you like nail polishes with a frost finish?

Cupcakes and Cherries

Alright, not exactly but yes.. :)

Yesterday I was so bored that I became crafty. I took some fimo clay and started creating food charms. They look a bit sloppy, but hey I'm a newbie! ;D

Cupcakes

They kinda look funny, my dear asked me 'are those mushrooms', lol. I don't blame him tho.

Apples

One of the easiest things to make. But mine still didn't came out as pretty as it could!

Sweets (okay chocolate/bubble gum and a pink donut thing)

I think it could look better and less futuristic if the filling was white. Oh well :).

I need to get more Fimo Clay and Liquid Fimo, because when I tried mixing my Fimo clay with Vaseline (I've read that somewhere) and making a whipped cream like topping, well after a close meeting with the oven, everything MELTED!
So yes, liquid clay here I go..

Oh and be read to see more of small food charms coming, I've ordered a 'recipe book' for them ;)

xoxo,
Tamara

NOTD: Jessica One Million Watts

This nail polish is pretty sheer, but applies well. It takes some time to dry (after three layers!), but it's alright.

So far it hasn't chipped (3rd day), and the white tip is minimal.
Let me introduce you to One Million Watts...

It is a hot pink, which I thought would be a more gentle pink. But it's pretty bold, but still quite sheer. I think a fourth coat should be needed for optimal opacity. Luckily it dries into a thin coat.

A gift

My bday is approaching, and since we won't be able to exchange gifts next week, my sister gave me her gift yesterday!

Wohooo xD!

I got two soaps, a bath bomb and a massage bar from Stenders. I also got a bag full of tuna pate, which made me laugh. =D

Now I have enough soaps for the next year..  No need of stocking up anymore!

My dear boyfriend got me two funny cupcakes, from his small trip. They looked delicious, but they didn't taste as good :(

Sadly it seems that there is no way of getting my hands on the Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows, so I got myself something else .P.

xoxo,
Tamara

EOTD: Soft purple

Yesterday, I admit - I was walking around without any make up on....

And believe me, I got so many 'wtf do you want' looks from some bit***s! I find it so annoying when a girl which is totally dressed up, gives me that kind of look. What is wrong with you? Do you lack of confidence of what?!

Anyhow, when I was at home, in the evening I decided to try out my new mascaras (Essence Volume to the max - it has a brush shaped as a comb and Essence Black Mania), so I put on some make up. Yes, just for the pure pleasure of trying out new things.

I used the CS 88 Matte palette and Alima Pure eyeshadow in Pink Sapphire

Here's what I came out with!

I used my neon light to take photos, and I think they came out pretty daylight - looking.

Review: Eco-Nature Care; Natural Hair + Body wash and Natural Re-Conditioner

My today's review is about Eco-Nature Care products.

I have listed their Shampoo + Body wash & Conditioner on my favorites 2009 list, so I feel I should tell you more about the products.
They have a really well-done website, with lots of information!

Eco-Nature Care is a company that cares about Nature, tries to reduce waste and at the same time, they want us to be clean and smell great.

Their Mission (quoted from their website)
Be Both Clean and Green™
We care about the planet, nature, and you™ and know that none is mutually exclusive. Our all–in–one, biodegradable formulas are designed to avoid unnecessary ingredients and provide
simple, clean formulas in easy to recycle packaging.
We want to make "Natural" relevant again. We believe you can look good and feel good while still being Eco–Conscious.

We use Green Chemistry to develop our products to maximize the use of natural ingredients. We use single material packaging (aluminum bottle & cap) to make recycling easier.

I have all three sets of their products, and I must say that the scents are divine.
They come in Crisp, Clean, and Fresh.

Crisp
Crisp, Green & Exciting
(Green leaf accord & Italian bergamot)

Clean
Clean, Natural & Refreshing
(Brazilian oranges & mixed berries)

Fresh

Fresh, Fruity & Lively
(A selection of citrus notes)

Out of all three, Crisp was my favorite scent. But then again, the scents are amazing, so I'm pretty sure that they would suit anyone. Don't worry, the scents are Unisex.

The products come in 296 ml bottles made of aluminum. They look really pretty with their logo printed on the front side and all the information on the back side.

The information is written in English and French, I suppose that is so because it is made in Canada.

The bottle itself is quite heavy compared to plastic bottles, and the bottle opening is quite big too.
Okay on the picture it seems a bit bigger, but honestly, it is just as big as the opening of your water/soda bottle.

That is one of the reasons why the handling with it at first tricky, but once you get the handle of it, it's so much easier.
I must say that being a clumsy person that I am, has made me worry that with this bottle I will probably break something, but the truth is that nothing bad happened! I was extra careful during shower and bath time to not drop it, but then I realized that since it is aluminum, the max that can happen is a bump or two on the bottle.

The Body wash & Shampoo

It is transparent with a bit of yellow color in it. It feels like a gel, because to the opposite to your regular hair wash (and body wash) it is less runny. I must say that I had lots of fun because of its consistency. Don't get me wrong, the closest thing that it reminds me of (except gel) is the blob. Fun!
It does leather really well, so a little goes a long way, especially for hair wash.

I used it mostly for my hair, and it left me with clean hair that smelled divine for a day or so after.
Usually, I had to wash my hair every second day because all the shampoos I've been using have stripped my scalp of its natural oils, but with this, I can prolong the hair washing time to three days. So for me, this is a winner.

I used it for my body a couple of times, and it did its job really well, but I still prefer using it for my hair.

The use is really simple; You take the bottle and pour some of the product in your palm. If too much product came out, you just put it back into the bottle - you make a cup with your palm and pour back in the amount you want.

The Re-Conditioner

This one is more similar to other conditioners. It's creamy and white.
I use it for 2/3 of my hair, except the scalp. I rarely use conditioner on my scalp, because my scalp gets oily pretty quickly.

I really like it, it is easy to work with and leaves me with silky smooth hair. And believe me, having dry, thin and wavy hair isn't easy. I must say that no matter what conditioner I used, my hair would become fuzzy the next day. But with this - nothing! Amazing.

Getting it out of the bottle is a bit of a tricky thing. It is not even close to runny, so you have to tap the bottom of the bottle. But that is a bit of a time consuming, so I just grab the bottle, put my palm over the opening and shake it lightly. And ole' here you have your conditioner.

Pros:
+ There is no bad stuff in it (NO Parabens, NO Formaldehyde Donors, NO Petroleum or Mineral Oil, NO Sulfates, NO Glycols, PEGs, or PPGs, NO Phthalates, NO MEA, TEA, DEA)
+ Cruelty-Free and Vegan

+ Gluten Free

+ Biodegradable
+ Earth Friendly
+ Easy to Recycle
+ Green Chemistry
+ Ph Balanced
+ Safe for Colour–Treated Hair
+ It cleaned and conditioned my hair really well
+ Smells great
+ The design
+ The idea behind the company is amazing (and we need more of those!)
+ 296 ml of content

Cons:
- It is only available in Canada and the USA
- You have to be extra careful when you're handling the bottles (if you are clumsy as I am)

Price: $10.99 / 296 ml

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5

Overall: I really enjoyed these products (I have still plenty left), but it saddens me that they aren't available to purchase anywhere else except in the USA & Canada. The Body wash & Shampoo worked really well for my hair, which is really great because I was looking for THE Shampoo for a very long time. I especially like that the products are SLS-Free and are Eco-Friendly.I think everyone should be Eco-conscious and buy items that won't ruin our planet with their package. The scents are fantastic (I can't stress that enough), tho it may be a bit tricky to get the product out of the bottle (Re-conditioner), but overall I love them and would recommend them!

The Boo Dog Bag

I was looking forward buying this dual handle canvas bag since I saw it on the Boo site.
And after some time, I contacted the owner of the shop to ask about the shipping rates. But she was so kind because after seeing my blog she decided to send the bag as a gift!

But don't worry, my review isn't any less honest even if I received it as a gift!

This is an actual image of the design on my bag

I got to pick the design and even got freebies (sticker + magnet). Yay! She also included a sweet note to my package. And the paper clip was in the shape of a bone. I almost melted when I saw it.
And as if she wasn't nice enough, I got a Xmas card from her!

Now isn't this the cutest paper clip in the whole universe?!

The freebies

I decided to get the Gothic Boo because it has some serious attitude and that pantyhose make me want to go clothes shopping!

Initially, I wanted to use the bag to carry around my make up train case, because I am really clumsy so I tend to bump it into objects as tables, walls, etc.
It seemed big enough, but sadly when it arrived I realized my train case is a weird one, and doesn't fit into it at all (which gave me a great excuse to get myself a new one, okay maybe one day). But you see, such things never stop me, so I used it for other things, I actually abused it because I used it almost every single day.

Description
dual handle canvas bag ($20.00)
100% Eco-friendly recycled cotton, dual handle canvas bag from
Eco-Bags®. Reduce waste and take the boo with you when you
go grocery shopping or carry it as a handbag.
• 12" wide x 12" tall with a flat 8" flat bottom gusset
• inside pocket to carry your wallet, cell phone, etc.
• removable plastic insert to keep the bottom flat
• Made with fair wages / fair labor
The use:
*for carrying stuff from my place to my BF's place (MU, clothes)
*grocery & shopping
*used it once for carrying about 10 small pictures in glass frames from one place to the other (my dear had a photography exhibition)
*stuffing it with stuff I still have to send out

There are plenty of uses for a bag, don't you think? And it's even better because it is resistant, so it won't break easily. And believe me, I used it for quite heavy items (the glass frames weren't light!).

Pros:
+ The plastic insert keeps my items protected
+ It is Eco-friendly
+ It is resistant
+ Has multiple uses
+ Is priced decently
+ You can pick your own design
+ You can put LOTS of items in it because it is really spacious.

Cons:
-It doesn't have a zipped opening

Inside it has a plastic insert, which you can remove, if you'd like to fold your bag to put it in your purse (for shopping purposes!).

The second handles are most of the time inside the bag, so you take them out only when you need them.

And there's one really handy pocket!

And... here's a comparison picture, so you can see how big the bag is!

Here it is filled with some goodies (they are hidden in the plastic bags, there are too many to show you) and a letter set (isn't it pretty?).

What to say, I really like it! I was looking for a nice tote bag for ages, and this one seems to serve its purpose really well. I just wish it had a zipper on the top, but then again that wouldn't make a good shopping bag. :)
