Jessica Paint The Town :)

Today I got another Jessica nail polish, this time from the Paint the Town serie, named Funky Town.
It is shaped as a bucket of paint. Cute!

On the first picture, the color is the most realistic..

It is a gift from my dear, part of my Bday gift (I have my Bday on Jan 23rd), because I couldn't resist it and it was way too expensive for me (11€ for one bottle).

It is clear nail polish with purple, pink and blue glitter in it. Glitter here I come!

I loved it from the first moment I saw it (last week I saw it for the first time). I can't wait to try it out...

How do you like glitter nail polishes?

NOTD: Jessica Fancy Pants (Sass&Sparkle Collection)

As you may know, today I got three wonderful nail polishes! One of them is Jessica Fancy Pants.

I decided to do my nails, with just one of them, alone!

It wouldn't be anything special, if that one polish wasn't the most glittery thing I ever wore! Even worse! I decided to break the rules and applied it, as I would my regular nail polish. In two coats.

Here it is!

I am pretty sure, that my dear didn't have this in mind, when he gave them to me. I'm am pretty sure he thought I'd use it for layering or maybe adding some details to other nail polishes. But well he should be used to it by now :P.
The nail polish reminds me of a tail of a mermaid, and it is really festive on its own!

The apply wasn't anything special. Except that well it is glitter, and it's a bit hard to control where you put it. But other than that, it dried really quickly and with two layers of Jessica top coat (that I got today) it is as smooth as a tear.

Flashlight

I must say that I really like it! It is so shiny, that my eyes hurt when I look at it.

Detail

How do you like it? Would you dare to wear it on its own? Would you dare to wear it during the festive season or during a normal day?

Jessica nail polishes

Today I got my first Jessica nail polishes! I got them from my dear, as part of my NY gift! ^^
I'm really excited to try them out.

They are part of the Summer collection but I don't mind, because I wear nail polishes that suit my current mood.

Here they are; High Voltage (Brilliance top coat), One Million Watts (hot pink) and Fancy Pants (glitter nail polish).

The come in the prettiest bottles ever, like light bubbles - very cute!

I am afraid to try this one, because of the nightmare of cleaning glitter nail polishes, but then again... glitter calls me, wants me to try it and wear it!

EDIT: I had to try them! I put them over my glittery nail polish, because I was too excited to take it off... Anyway it is a transparent nail polish with big silver glitter chunks.

You can see the glitter stuff on the index finger, the big silver square. So that is the other polish..

The pink polish is quite sheer, so I think that three layers would give the perfect coverage. The finish is gorgeous, pure shine! And the glitter.. ahh I love it! I thought I'd hate it, but it's great for the festive season!

Review: Daiso Black Charcoal Mask

While I am still testing other products out, I can tell you about this mask.
I bought it just because it was black and looked messy, plus because it said that it can remove blackheads.

It is known by many names from Daiso, BLAKhead Masque, Saizen, Narakashiwa. Originally it comes in the Daiso stores for about 1$, but if you buy it online you can get it from 2$ on.

I took two pictures of it, a more Xmas related and a regular on a black wallpaper.  It was fun!
The mask comes with a sticker of a girl's face covered in the black mask, I peeled mine off.

Everything on it, is written in Japanese, so I don't understand anything, but luckily there are instructions online!

The back side

I really like the packaging, it's nice and classy with a really good quality packaging. The mask came with an aluminum sealant at the bottom, so you know that what you buy is brand new!

I really expected the mask to be a bit runny, because of all the reviews that said so. But on the opposite, it's really thick and you can cover your nose/face evenly without using too much product!

I really love the fact that it is black and messy. YES!

Instructions:
  • Cleanse face as usual and pat dry.
  • Apply a layer of charcoal face mask evenly all over face.
  • Ensure that eyebrow, eyes, and mouth does not come into contact with the mask.
  • Wait for the charcoal face mask to dry completely. You will know this when it's no longer sticky and skin feels tight.
  • Peel off the dried charcoal face mask. You will see immediate results (blackheads removed, pores cleaner, and skin feels smoother)!
  • Use once a week for best results.

You can see that my apply isn't really even, but I put on the amount you saw on the picture before. I put on quite a thick layer because I wanted to know how long it will take to dry. And you know what? It took about 10-15 minutes!

When it dries the mask goes matte.

Detail

That is all my fine hair, ah I didn't know I had that many hairs on the face!

Peeling it off can be a bit painful, but not on the T-zone anyway. I once used the mask on my entire face (when I first got it) and peeling it off, hurt like a bi***! I cried so much, lol! Plus it pulled all my fine hair off, omg!

The result

As you can see it didn't do anything to my blackheads, but it pulled out all the fine hair. I think I'll use it every week because it is super fun even if it didn't really help.
My pores aren't really filled currently, but I have a couple of really stubborn pores. Next time I'll use it after the shower and then I'll update my review.

Pros:
+ It is black, it has charcoal in it.
+ It looks like fun, feels great!
+ It left my skin feeling smooth and clean.
+ It dries into a paper like a thing.
+ It is a peel off mask, I love those!
+ It is cheap.
+ It will probably last me forever.

Cons:
- Didn't really do anything for me.
- It hurts when you pull it off, especially if used on other parts than just the T-zone.
- It is messy.

Price: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 5/5 I bought mine for 5$ on Ebay, but if you got a Daiso store around you, you can get it for 1$!

Rating: ♥  ♥ 2/5

Overall: Even if it doesn't do much for me, except pulling out the fine hair, I like it. I love messing around with it, and scaring my dear with the blackness on my face! I really hope it is going to start working for me because I was expecting a lot from it. I mean if it is so strong to pull out hair, why wouldn't it pull out blackheads?! I will have to edit this review after a couple of weeks, after testing it after the shower.
But so far I can't really give it nor a good nor a bad mark. I have read many great reviews about it and some bad. It may work for some, and it surely does work for some, but for me it really doesn't. But then again I can't nor recommend it nor say 'stay away from it'.

EDIT: I have tried using it after the shower and... nothing! It was still the same. It seems that my blackheads and whiteheads are too resisting for it. Sad but true :/.

Review: Skin79 Dreamgirls BB Cream

Today I am a bit bored, so I decided to review my latest addition to the BB creams collection!

Okay, it's my only BB cream currently, because I gave the Ginko BB cream to my mom and I used up the Mushroom BB cream.

Let me introduce you to Dreamgirls BB cream by Skin79.

It is aimed towards young people, those who are in the early 20's, so I thought it would be perfect for me, because of the great oil control it claims to have. Plus there's another reason, I didn't find more than two written reviews of ti. So it got me curious.
And the design, it is just perfect!

Description:
Primarily intended for the younger set, Dream Girls BB Cream addresses the concerns of young skin by providing oil control and UV protection to prevent unsightly premature aging. The thick cream provides light to medium coverage, evening out the skin tone and creating a dewy and smooth finish that lasts all day long. Suitable for lighter skin tones. By Skin79.

Ingredients

The price was fine, I got it for 15$ on Ebay.

Coverage:  Sheer
Texture: Creamy
Shade:  comes in one shade only
Fragrance: Disgusting, a flowery scent with a weird addition.
Oil-Control:  Great!
Dewy or Matte (finish): Dewy

I found the scent to be very disturbing, but luckily it vanishes after applied. If it was just for the scent, I could say it is good, but that's not its only problem.

The cream oxidizes! It is a nice light shade, which would probably be fine for me, but it literally oxidizes in a matter of seconds!

But since it doesn't offer good coverage it's not such a big deal.
It is just terrible that it does that, nothing more.
At first, I hated the super dewy finish, but then I started to like it and now I really love it, because in winter my skin doesn't get that healthy glow anymore.

Blending

Before&After

As you can see, there is almost no difference at all. But it covers the red spots a bit and it nothing else it works great as a primer, which is exactly what I use it for.

Pros:
+The box, it's super pretty!
+It comes in a shade light enough for me.
+Oil control.

Cons:
-The smell, I hate it!
-It oxidizes and turns into some orange undertone cream.
-It costs more for a worse effect than my other BB creams.
-It comes in a 43,5g tube.
 -Doesn't offer almost any coverage.
-You need to use A LOT to get some coverage.

Rating: ♥ 1 /5

Overall: I don't really like it. I use it only because I hate wasting any products, and because it works well as a primer. But honestly, this is not a great BB cream. At least not if you are looking for SOME coverage. And I really dislike the fact that it oxidizes on me. It would be fine if it only happened to me, but it did not. It happened to everyone. I dislike the smell, but I simply adore the tube design. I love love love it! Well, I don't really hate this product, but if I knew I wouldn't buy it at all. Maybe it could work for darker complexions, because of the sheer coverage? I don't know. But I don't like it and I do not recommend it.

Have a merry Christmas and a wonderful new year!

I wished it would snow tomorrow, but today here are 16 degrees, even if a couple of days ago there were -3. OH well!

Best wishes for you all, my dear followers!

Review: NEO Glamour Green

Now it's finally the time to review the NEO Glamour lenses!

I wore them for a couple of days and well I love them! They are perfect and they blend in really nice!

Lens Type: 1 Year

DIA: 14.2 mm
Base Curve: 8.6 mm
Water Content: 45%

Let's start with my bare eyes. For some reason here they look as if they have a blue circle around them!

Pretty weird color, no? Most of the times they are green, so it was quite hard finding the perfect lenses!

But after 6 or 7 pairs of circle lenses, I finally found them!  They are just perfect!

Comfort: 10/10
They are super thin and comfortable. I don't feel them at all! They may be a little drying, but it's nothing serious. My right eye gets a bit dry after a couple of hours, but a couple of eye drops and it's fine. Plus they are really really thin! I had a problem with putting them in my eyes, because they kept blending into themselves until they formed a small triangle. I had to put them back into the case and try again.
Enlargement: 5/10
They give a bit of enlargement, but I wasn't really looking for it anyway.

Colour/Design: 10/10
PERFECT! I was looking for a natural looking lens for my green eyes, and now I have finally found it! I think I'll buy this lens over and over again, I just love it so much! No one notices that I have circle lenses, but my dear loved them. For the first time, he gave me a compliment about my circle lenses! But the most important thing is that I don't feel self-conscious while wearing them.
Comparison

Both
Wide open eyes

Flash light

I really like them and if my prescription changes (it changes about once per year because of my slight astigmatism, but hopefully now that I'm over puberty it should settle) I'll get another pair because they are really perfect!

Full face

EOTD Last night of the year and some updates.

Today it was quite an interesting day for me. Quite stressful but still interesting.
Yesterday I dyed my hair black to blond, so now it's a darker shade of blond that I had, but still it's blond! =)  The orange color faded anyway, and now I know that I won't touch such weird shades anymore.

I got a gift from a company that works with ours, and guess what it is? Something I was wondering if I should buy, since I heard so many great reviews. But I didn't and instead I got two other similar but not quite the same items.  I got a Panasonic heated eyelash curler. So nice!

And today in the mail I got some cotton pads for makeup/nail polish remover because I was curious about the square-shaped cotton pads. We have them circle shaped. They are thinner, but both, still need to test them out.

I hope that on the NY's eve I'll be eating sushi and having fun. I love love love sushi!

Okay, let's move on to the MU. I wanted to play with some colors, but I ended with using silver eyeshadow.

I used:
Lime Crime Mirror Mirror
S-he Black eyeshadow from the trio of pink, light pink and black
Some glitter in the outer corners of my eyes
Mascara (Apple Black)
Panasonic heated eyelash curler
NEO Glamour Green circle lenses (I love love love them!)

You can see how messy my eyebrows are, even if they ARE trimmed. They are a nightmare for me :(

And since I didn't post any FOTDs for ages, I decided to goof around with a couple of items I got last week and today. But I'll post just three pictures, because.. I don't want to make you sick.

These are the square cotton pads, they come in a cute box which contains 50 of them!

Schwarzkopf OSiS Dust It - Mattifying Powder. I was expecting this to be bigger, like triple the size it is! That is terrible how small it is! But the stuff in it looks exactly like little snowflakes (if you try not to look for details), except it gets a bit sticky. Snow doesn't do that.

I also need to do something about my hair. I don't know how to style it anymore. It sucks because I go around with the same hairstyle every damn day!

I hope I didn't bore you and thank you for reading!

Xoxo,

Tamara

Review: Lush Sexy Boy massage bar

I wanted to review this item as quick as possible, because well. I've been using it every single day, and it's getting thinner. Poor Sexy Boy!

Last week I went to MB and there for the first time in my life to a Lush store! I was overwhelmed by so many different scents in one place. But I got used to it pretty fast. I got to try lots of stuff in the store, but the first day I didn't buy anything.
But since I could smell a vanilla like a scent after a couple of hours, on the spot where the SA rubbed the Sexy Boy on my hand, I decided to give it a go.

I went back to the store two days later and got myself this funny Ginger man like shaped massage bar!

Ingredients:
Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao),Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera),Perfume,Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia),Cocoa Absolute (Theobroma cacao),Cananga Oil (Cananga odorata),Benzyl Salicylate,Cinnamal,Citral,Eugenol,Geraniol,
Benzyl Benzoate,Farnesol,Limonene,Linalool.

As you can guess, the massage bar was quite chunky, but after a couple of days, it got thinner.
So here is my picture.

The description:
This little man melts onto your body with moisturizing cocoa and Shea butter and extra virgin coconut oil to give your skin a glow (he tends to lead to other things that leave you glowing too). He smells of warming chocolate and invigorating lime oil to put you in the mood for romance. Although he may not look sexy (he is a gingerbread man after all), give him a chance by rubbing him onto your partner and he'll bring sexy to your back.

Scent:
A melty massage bar just for Christmas, scented with revitalizing lime oil and comforting cocoa.

As weird as it seems, the smell goes from very refreshing to a quite powerful smell. After a couple of hours, it fades into a vanilla scent (or to me, it seems like it).

I love it! At first, I didn't quite like it, but after a couple of hours, I loved it! Now I am addicted to it, and I can't even bare the thought that it is only an LE!
My dear loves the smell, my grandma, sister, brother, and father dislikes it a lot! But my mom likes it, so now I know from whom I got my 'scent love' :D!

Use:
I use it for anything except for what it was made. I use it as a body butter, body moisturizer, perfume (I put it on my arms, neck) and sometimes just for my hands. It is very moisturizing, which I absolutely adore! Because of it, I have an excuse for my dear to massage it into my body. Ha! Okay, he uses it as a massage bar, but I don't!
Because it is a massage bar it melts really quickly. And by really quickly I mean that after it starts melting it will double the melting speed in a matter of minutes. So work it quickly or enjoy the long massages.
After the application, you don't need to reapply it since it's quite oily and it needs some time to get absorbed (if you put too much of it). A small amount won't take any more than a couple of seconds.

Price:
7.90€

I think it's quite pricey because in the US it costs 7.95$. I can only dream about it costing 5€ here.
But then again, EU is expensive.
I can't complain, I love it and it's a real treat for myself so it's worth it!

Pros:
+The smell, I am addicted!
+The shape, it's really easy to hold it because of it.
+The moisturizing effect.
+The scent lasts for hours.

Cons:
-Price.
-There is no box big enough for it, so I keep it in the yellow bag.

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5
No matter the price, I love it. I love it and I think I need to stock up!
Hopefully, I won't get bored of the smell (because that happens to me all the time).

Overall:
If you like massage bars and you are totally into weird scents, or the crazy mix of scents and sometimes you like sweet scents and the other lemony scents... Then go for it.
But honestly, I think that everyone should smell it before you purchase it. I went to Lush, applied it on my palm and went out so I could smell it for real. After that I bought it.
It is a shame that it is a limited edition, but probably the smell wouldn't be great for summer because it's quite strong and heavy. Christmas it the perfect time for this lovely Lush bar.
It is great for massages, even just for moisturizing your body.
It is a perfect gift, for yourself or your loved one.

Photography: Rina

I know, it's totally not related to makeup... Okay, maybe a bit - I did her MU.

The photos are a month or so old, but it was fun taking them!

I am really lazy when it comes to taking pictures ._.
Soooo.... maybe one day I'll show you a run up of all the girls I took pictures of.

Hopefully this weekend I'll write a review or two, and make a MU look!

Have fun!

Orchids

I am in love with orchids.

They are my favorite flowers. I had a couple of them, but when they lost their flowers, I gave up on them. But not on my last one. Nope!
It blossomed for about four months. Now after a couple of months without its flowers it finally started to grew again!

^^
I'm so proud!

Now my collection needs to grow! I want lots of orchids in my room and then in my future house!

I am alive!

Hi everyone!

Did you miss me?

I was away for well... some time because of my busy busy life.. :) Okay, last week I was lazy, because I was working almost every day and then on Friday I went to a party and after that right to MB.

It was fun. I only took some essentials with me, because I thought we'd be there for two, three days. But we got home only today!  That's why I got myself some nail polish remover (the polish I was wearing chipped!!), MU remover and a clear nail polish.

The pretty packaged thing is a shimmer face powder. It has a nice detail pressed on it.

Plus I wasn't expecting any snow, so I had my chamois boots with me.. ._. my socks were always wet, well until yesterday when I bought the spray for boots.

And it was snowing. Like a lot! And man it looked great! I loveeee snow, even if my socks were wet!

I went to Lush (we got only two lush stores in Slovenia, one is in Maribor and the other is in Ljubljana) and realized that hand made cosmetics can be really pretty!

I got myself four things + a can (T'eo, Baby face, Coalface, Sexy boy).
I love them all! They smell great and I can't wait to get myself a soap.. yummy!

The Sexy boy is HOT. I mean it is shaped like a ginger man and smells delicious. Like some citrus + chocolate, a really interesting smell that fades into a vanilla scent. But sadly it's a LE.

T'eo is a deodorant, but it doesn't stop sweating (anyway none of those kinds of deodorants worked on me anyway) and I really like the fact that it doesn't let the nasty smell to develop! Plus it smells really unisex, lemon stuff like. It is maybe a bit hard to work with (as in it comes without a package).

Baby face is a great make up remover! I love love love it! :D

Coalface is a bit rough, and it dries my skin, so I only use it on certain areas as my nose, but it works well for my body!

The sad thing about lush is that here it's quite expensive. ._.

We didn't even go to the store, to buy some stuff to cook -_- Noope, we ate in restaurants, then here and there in McDonald's...  it isn't really weird that I gained weight, lol.

But it was super fun! Super super super fun! Hopefully I will go to Lush at the end of this month, to get a nice smelling body soap.

And today, on the trip home, my dear got me the cutest bear ever!

It was fun, and I already miss the place! :)

xoxo,
Tamara
