Review: Sophyto Omega Daily Moisturizer

Hello,

You have probably read my previous review of the Sophyto Mega Omegas, right? If not, go check it out so you can compare how the two creams differ ;).

Anyway since my last review I was contacted by Sophyto and they asked me if I'd like to try their new version of the cream. And of course, I said yes, since I actually liked the first version.

Well, many things have improved, but let's start from the beginning.

The package!

As you can see, the new package is way prettier than the old one. I only miss the switch cap, because it was really practical.
But I'd switch the cap for the design any day, so I'm sold.

You also get 10ml of the product more and the shelf life is now 12M instead of 3M.

Ingredients:

aqua (spring water), *simondsia californica (jojoba) seed oil, cetearyl alcohol, *butyrosperum parkii (karite) fruit butter, *helianthus annus (sunflower) seed oil, *daucus carota sativa (carrot) root extract, sodium stearoyl lactylate, glyceryl stearate, *oenothera biennis (evening primrose) seed oil, *punica granatum (pomegranate) seed oil, *rubus idaeus (raspberry) seed oil, *cera alba (beeswax), *aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice powder, levulinic acid, sodium dehydroacetate, lecithin, *paeonia lactiflora (white peony) flower extract, *rosa damascena (rose) flower extract, glycerin, tocopherol, *guar gum, xanthum gum, *alcohol denat, sodium hydroxide, citric acid  *Organic, 90% of the agricultural ingredients are produced organically.

Texture:
The texture seems thicker, firmer and it's not so yellow-white as the previous one. I like the new version better.

Scent:
The scent has also been improved, because well yes it still has a faint scent of animal fat, but really faint. I can hardly smell it and you know how disgusted I was by it.

Here you can see that I applied way too much product on my hand, so when blended those lines appeared. The pear drop size I applied would last me for the whole face!

My experience:
Now I want to show you how my skin looked before I started using this cream. I had acne and quite a lot of them if you ask me. I think it was hormonal since I got off the pill.

At that time I only used toner (Dr. Scheller Pomegranate) and Jojoba Oil (California Jojoba Oil). Sometimes my skin was a bit dry on the forehead and cheeks. But I didn't want to buy a new cream since I knew I was going to get the new formula of Omega Omegas.

Before

 Terrible, right?

And after a month of use

I must say I noticed changes in one week, but I wanted to test it further.

How do I use it?
I am still combining it with Jojoba Oil and the same toner. The toner is quite drying, so when I ran out if it I'll buy a different kind of it. I need jojoba oil on my dry spots because again this cream may have changed but it still does the same for me (without the terrible scent and texture).

I've also included an eye cream in my morning treatment and a light serum with hyaluronic acid instead of the jojoba oil. So far it didn't react with any of my products.

I really like the fact that it helped improve my skin, but that doesn't mean it will do the same for you.

Pros:
+ Leaves a lightweight feeling on skin
+ The scent is OK (natural, but milder than the old version)
+ Better (thicker) texture
+ A tiny bit goes a long way
It contains no artificial colors, fillers, and parabens.
+ Didn't break me out.

+ Has the SOIL certificate
+ Now you get more for the same price!

Cons:
- I have to use a serum/jojoba oil under it on my dry zones
- Pricey

Price: 3/5 ♥ (30€ for 50ml)
Rating: 4/5

Overall:
This cream works wonderfully on my combination skin. The hotter it gets outside, the fewer products I want and have to put on my face. Which means that soon I'll ditch the serum or jojoba oil combination. But so far I need those to give a little extra more for my dry skin parts.
Other than that I think the formula has improved a lot and now it can actually compare to my favorite cream of all time (Essential Care Organic Rose Moisturizer). When I'll be buying my next cream I'll have a difficult task choosing which one to buy.
