Review: Xen-Tan Deep Bronze

I got this product one month ago, and since then I tried it several times! :) I got it for review purposes and I'm so glad I have!

Instructions:
Xen Tan Deep Bronze provides a creamy, milk chocolate color immediately, but turns instantly transparent upon application, apply in the morning straight out of the shower for an Instant Tan that will last you up to 7 days and dries within seconds.
With It’s dreamy chocolate fragrance you’ll receive compliments all day long (even in the hottest of conditions, there will be no hint of that dreaded fake tan smell, hoorah). It’s unique time-release ingredient guarantees the most even fake tan you’ll ever see.
Also, if you’ve ever felt a bit disappointed when you’ve washed other sunless tans off and most of the color disappears down the plug-hole, and you’re actually not as tanned as you’d hoped. Fear not, because when you rinse this tanner off, no color comes off (It’s completely baffling). You are simply left with the most natural, stunning, olive tan and it’s completely paraben free.

The packaging is really nice, white and gold. It's easy to use and it's very resistant which means it's travel-friendly. I took it with me on a small vacation, in my over-filled bag and it survived without a problem!
Plus there's quite a lot of product in it, whooping 148ml.

The scent is nice. I wasn't expecting a nice scent to be honest, but this my dear readers smells like COOKIES! Or to be more exact it's a mix of chocolate and cookies, very delightful! After a couple of hours, it develops a bit of a burnt cookie smell, which is still fine, but the first time I absolutely disliked it. The scent washes off after a shower.

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides, Dihydroxyacetone, Glycerine, Trimethylpentanediol/Adipic Acid Copolymer, Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Stearyl Alcohol, Steareth-21, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Tocopheryl Acetate, Ginkgo Biloba Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Silybum Marianum (Milk Thistle) Extract, Titanium Dioxide, Xanthan Gum, DMDM Hydantoin, Sodium Metabisulfite, Lactic Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), Octadecyl Di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Carmel, Yellow 10, Blue 1, Red 40.

It has a greenish color, which is really nice since you can actually see where you have applied it!

The cream
(I applied way too much of the cream, just for you to see how it looks like)

Blended (almost)
(when you blend it, it becomes a lighter color and then 'disappears').

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to bronzing creams. I have used a bronzing lotion before, but I actually had no idea that that was is. It was a lotion (milk lotion for after shower) from Johnson&Johnson a couple of years ago. It had an interesting smell, but it wasn't all that pleasant after a while. It smelled like burnt cookies!
I always wanted to be tanned, but I never went for the fake tan because I thought it was so difficult to get the perfect color. I was so wrong!

Alright now let's move on to my experience(s).

1. The first time I used it, I went to MB for a short vacation. I applied it for three consecutive days because I was curious how deep it can get. The first day it gave me this lovely natural glow which I loved. But I wanted MORE. The second day it was more like 'hey you went to the beach?' the thing which I adored..  and the third day...  Well, that was just a touch-up because I couldn't do my hands properly. So I asked my dear to apply the lotion to my palms. He messed it up, so I ended with streaks in between my fingers, bleh! I tried lots of things to remove those streaks (every store was closed that day because it was a national holiday). They didn't budge but they washed off in a couple of days. They weren't that visible anyway. But the body apply was perfect!

2. The second time, I thought I was more of an expert so I was hoping everything would go great this time...
I applied the lotion wearing latex gloves (my hands do sweat A LOT in those) and the apply was quite much perfect except on my palms. I dried my hands and then applied the lotion but it didn't want to sink in (and give me that damn color!) because my hands were sweating for a longer period of time (damn gloves!). That's when I discovered the makeup sponge trick. You take the lotion and apply a bit on your make up sponge. Then with the help of the sponge, you apply it on your hands/places you would normally wash out when washing your hands. And it worked, woohoo!!

3. This time, I decided that latex gloves are the past, and it's time to use my bare hands. It was so much easier. The apply was easy, but I still got some streaks on my wrists. I blame the fact that 3 hours without water/hand creams are a long period for me.

4. This was the last time I used it. And I needed something like max 10 minutes to do my whole body and palms. And after that, I just put on my clothes and went to sleep. I woke up with this nice tan, and almost no streak. Yea, I suck with the apply I know...  But I don't blame the cream since this time I applied a very thick layer of hand cream. But I'm pretty sure that the next time the apply will be perfect!

5. After some time I applied it once more, this time only on my legs. I exfoliated like crazy before and it went on perfectly! Not a single strain, woohoo!!

I also realized that taking pictures of tanned skin is very difficult. That's why it took me so long to post this review.
But this picture is the closest I could get.

Before&After

The difference is very noticeable in real life. But so much less in pictures, blah. I got something like 3-4 shades darker and I'd go so much darker if I applied it again.
The colors fade evenly in a week or a bit more. I didn't even realize when I went from Wawa wood to wall white. Oh well!

Deep Bronze is a lotion that gives you medium tanned skin, and I'm in love with it.
I think that now I'm going to buy this stuff regularly because it gives me such a nice color without much effort.
People thought that I got a real tan, yay! And seriously when I used to tan, it took me a damn month to get this kind of color! And I was so pissed off when someone pointed that out. Or said something stupid like 'hey you live by the seaside, why are you so pale?!' Like.. don't they know that tanning is unhealthy and that we aren't all born with lots of melanin.
Anyway, now I found my little secret and I'm going to stick to it.

Pros:
+Smells nice!
+It has a greenish color so you can see where you apply it.
+After 4+ uses (for my whole body, and I ain't thin) I used less than 1/2 of it.
+It develops into a nice tan (natural looking, olive tan).
+The package doesn't really get dirty even if you touch it with your hands with fresh tan on it.
+The package is pretty.
+The price is fine.
+If you don't like the scent, it washes off after a shower.
+It didn't dry out my skin.
+My skin felt soft after the use of the tanner.

Cons:
-The scent develops in a burnt cookie smell.
-It isn't available locally.
-If you are clumsy it CAN streak.
-Should not take a shower/swim (or apply cream) after you have applied the fake tan. For 3 hours. That's horror for me, but alright I can deal with it.

Price: 4/5 ♥♥♥♥ (18€/148ml)
Rating: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥
Overall:
I really like it. In fact, I love it. I still need to learn to exfoliate before the apply and to be patient and not just smack it on, but other than that. it's perfect. It doesn't turn orange, it looks natural and the scent isn't bad at all! I'd say give it a go if you'd like a medium tan (if you'd like a light tan or a dark tan there are other products from Xen-Tan). I think that this is the fake tan that I'll stick to. I want to try the gradual tan too, so stay tuned because after I finish this one (and summer is over, because dear, I want to be damn hell tanned for summer!) I'll buy the gradual tan, yay! And maybe I could try the Deep Bronze Luxe (dark tan) too..  Yeah, now I'm very excited about this line.

EOTD: Pink and brown again

I did a brown and pink look again. This time for work .)! It was quick and fun, and it was more vibrant in real life.
Anyway here it is.

I used:
*Sweetscents Cactus Blossom
*Alima Pure Thaithian Pearl (inner corners of the eye)
*Dr. Dima's Cosminology Astro Hear (red brown)
*Estee Lauder Double wear mascara

I feel super lazy today, so I'll go watching The Cleveland Show, just because it's super fun! And less sick that the Family Guy XD!

NOTD: Nfu Oh 65

I bought this nail polish a whiiiileee ago, and I never used it. The apply is sh*t, the coverage is somehow fine, but I still needed somewhat as 3 coats, or 4..  I don't remember because if I wasn't working quickly enough there started to create these weird gaps, bleh!! Absolutely not a fav of mine when it comes to texture.

Anyhow, I absolutely love the holographic effect on it!

Review: LUSH Pied de Pepper

Hello lovelies!

I've had this product for a while and I feel it's time for a review.
I got it two months ago from my dear when he went to Maribor. I wanted it for quite a long time because no matter what my feet weren't SOFT enough. At least compared to his. And he did nothing, and I tried way too hard!
From scrubs to peelings.. well I used them all! So I was hoping for a small miracle from it.

Ingredients:
Vanilla Pod Decoction (Vanilla planifolia), Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea), Stearic Acid, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Triethanolamine, Clove Bud Oil (Eugenia caryophyllene), Cetearyl Alcohol, Cinnamon Leaf Oil (Cinnamomum zeylanicum), Ginger Oil (Zingiber officinale), Lemon Oil (Citrus Limonum), *Cinnamyl Alcohol, *Cinnamal, *Citral, *Eugenol, *Geraniol, *Isoeugenol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
*Occurs naturally in essential oils

The description:
Soothing, spicy foot cream. Pied de Pepper is a spicy cream for your feet and it would definitely come in handy after a long walk in a hot desert. Clove bud, cinnamon leaf, and ginger essential oils soothe your muscles, stimulate your circulation and ease aches. It's also excellent in cold weather for people who have cold extremities and like to warm their feet up on yours.

OH wait! That sounds more like it...  on the Slovenian page, it says something about perfectly soft, lovely smelling and fresh feet!

The cream comes in a 100g pot, which is recyclable. And if you bring 5 black pots back to Lush, you get a face mask for free! YAY! Such things keep me motivated! :)

The texture of it is divine. It's super creamy, very light and applies like a dream. It reminds me of a lovely sheer pudding.  The scent reminds me of Coca Cola (strong cinnamon with something else) and I really had to get used to it. It's not bad at all, just the 'something' makes the scent spicy.

You get a lot for your money!

Texture

Anyway, I used it for a month almost every day. I washed my feet, applied the cream (a little bit goes a long way) and put on thick soft socks. The cream absorbs quickly (when I applied it on my 2nd foot, the 1st one was almost dry!) and it moisturizes my feet.

I can't say that it has a heating effect, because the cream itself is cold. Plus I don't think I felt anything as a heating effect.. (I read somewhere that it's supposed to heat up your feet). But I don't mind it, because this means it'll be good for summer days too!

So the next morning I woke with soft feet, but it didn't last long..   I mean I started with somehow hard heels and the next morning they were SOFTER, yes. But that lasted only until the next night.. So I guess I'd have to use it every single day for a longer period to really see the result..(alright my feet genes aren't good, my dear has super soft feet and he does NOTHING).
But after all, it's not that bad. I mean you get a lot of product, and you only use a tiny bit (in two months I've used only 1/4 of it).

Pros:
+The smell is interesting.
+The texture is divine!
+It's really lightweight (perfect for summer!)
+It absorbs in quickly.
+Does leave my feet softer.
+A tiny bit, goes a long way.
+It has a decent price.
+The 5 pots policy!
+Lush doesn't test on animals!
+It's vegan.

Cons:
-The effect wasn't long lasting.
-It can be messy.
-Some people can't stand the scent.
-I need to apply it every single night to maintain the soft effect.

Price: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥ (8,70€)
Rating: 3/5 ♥♥♥

Overall: Well I do like it, I just with I didn't have to apply it every single night.. The scent wasn't my favorite to start with, but then I got used to it (and now I like it even if I'm not a huge fan of cinnamon scent). The texture is one of the best I've ever tried so I'd buy it again just for that. I'll use the pot up, and if there will be any changes I will edit the review. But so far it's good, but not the best. But that's because I'm super lazy and I don't feel like applying creams on myself every single night, eh!

Essie Resort Collection

Today I'm going to show you the full Essie Resort collection, which was kindly sent to my by Katja from Carodejka.si . Thank you! =) Her shop has lots of Essie nail polishes to chose from and mini sets too!  Of course she sells other stuff too, but today we're here to talk about polish business. =P

The polishes come in a nice box

Which could be a perfect gift too!

In this collection there are four polishes, and each of them is beautiful.

Ingredients

All colors
(Playa del Platinum, Turquoise & Caicos, Lapis of Luxury, Splash of Grenadine)

The first one I applied was Splash of Grenadine, because I was in the mood for a pink nail polish.
I'm in love with this color, because for the whole time I was checking my nails.
This one isn't a real pink, but more of a lilac. I applied two coats (one thicker) and the opacity was fine.
I used Essie Fill the Gap as a base, then two coats of the polish and finished it with Essie Good to Go.

Splash of Grenadine

The next day I applied Lapis of Luxury and loved it too! I had it on for a couple of days and it was absolutely fine! I used two coats with it too.

Lapis of Luxury

After a couple of days I decided to go for something more gentle and applied  Playa del Platinum. I wasn't expecting to like it, but oh my.. I LOVED it too! For some reason it looks very chic and classy. It applied like a dream and I used two coats.

Playa del Platinum

And the last day I used  Turquoise & Caicos. At first I didn't like it, but today I DO like it. With this one I used three coats. It could be only two if I applied a thicker coat.

Turquoise & Caicos

I think that this collection is one of the best Essie has made! All the colors are very 'in' now and they look fantastic. They are pastels, so I'm pretty sure anyone could rock them!
How do you like this collection?

Review: Beaucon Shimmer Brown from Honeycolor.com

This time, I'll review the Beaucon Shimmer brown lenses. I also got them from Honeycolor.com for my review.

They are the most subtle of them all because they blend perfectly with my green eyes! I really didn't expect this, but I'm happy that they do! So then instead of green eyes, I get hazel/brownish eyes.

Yesterday I wanted to put in my regular lenses, but they felt somehow uncomfortable, so I decided to put in these circle lenses. And you know what?! They felt SO MUCH more comfortable!
I wore them for 8 hours straight without a problem (I usually wear glasses so it won't do any harm to my eyes).

Lens specifications:
Usage Modality:  Yearly
BC:  8.6 mm
DIA:  14.0 mm
Water content:  45%

Natural light

Enlargement: 7/10
They do somehow enlarge my eyes, but it isn't awkward looking.
Comparison

Color/Design: 10/10
These have lots of sheer parts so they blend perfectly! I'm pretty sure they'd look very subtle on brown eyes too! No one noticed I'm wearing contact lenses, no one! As I mentioned in my last review, I LOVE natural looking lenses! And these are perfectly natural looking.
You can't really see the pixels in RL. Only on camera!

Flashlight

 Comfort: 9/10
As the Blue lenses, these are super comfortable and thin! I have nothing bad to say about that.
I wore them for 8 hours straight and they didn't dry my eyes (as my regular contacts do!).
With these I didn't have the annoying feeling when I put them on, so kudos for that!

Full face pictures

Overall:
They are VERY natural looking, and that's exactly what I'm looking for a circle lens. I'm pretty sure they would suit just anyone so they're a must in any circle lenses collection. The price is pretty decent too (about $28 for a pair of lenses which last for one year on Honeycolor.com). Well, I think they are perfect for a slight enlargement or a color change (comfortable one tho!). They are very similar to the NEO lenses a lot.

MORE Pablo pictures!

It's too late to write a beauty post (I had a review in mind) so for today I'll just post some new pictures of Pablo (I just got them on my email from Vida!). And in the meantime I'll edit the photos for the reviews, so you'll have something to read tomorrow.. ;)

These photos are more PRO (oh so pretty! Hopefully mine will look something like this one day). They are taken by Vida Klenovšek and the collar is made by her too, isn't it gorgeous? My dear picked the colors and I wanted it to be bling (he didn't), so at the end, we got this.. pretty!
