Tigi Catwalk Curlesque Curls Rock Amplifier

When having curls it's important to keep them defined, at least that's what I like to do. I like them well defined with a bit of a bounce

And sometimes we need several products to achieve that look. Usually, that's a leave-in balm, a curl defining cream, some hair styling product and maybe even some hair gel.

But I prefer to keep it simple. I usually use the Tigi Curls Rock Amplifier and maybe a tad of gel. But that's not always the case.

Are you lucky enough to have been naturally blessed with curly hair? The TIGI Catwalk Curlesque cream for curly and permed hair will make them look absolutely perfect. It defines and shapes individual waves, gives your protection during heat styling, and makes your hairstyle last. Turn your hair into your best asset and let it shine.

Back in the day of the first 3D MMORPGs, I went by the name Tigica. Later I realized that there's a brand with the name Tigi and of course I had to love it!

I mean, my cat was named Tigi and she was this fierce orange tabby.  The only logical thing was that I got the same nickname as my cat, right? :D

And the Tigi brand was and still is all about being wild, a bit crazy and true to yourself

And even now, more than 25 years later the brand is going strong. Now it's not a professional salon only type of brand, but you can get their products in drugstores too. And that isn't bad. It's actually badass!

THE CURLS ROCK AMPLIFIER

Characteristics:

  • separates and defines individual waves
  • makes your curls look neater
  • leaves hair soft to the touch
  • protects hair during heat styling
  • protects hair from humidity

The amplifier comes in a bottle with a dispenser on top. The pump works wonderfully and in the last couple of months (since I had it), it gave me no problems at all.
The cream has a viscous consistency and is a bit sticky. But that makes it easier to work it into my curls.
Plus the scent is divine. I love all the Tigi scents because they are powerful, perfumey and fresh. It's a wonderful mix of artificial and let's go down memory lane for me.

HOW TO USE IT

Apply to towel-dried hair and gently twist the hair with your fingers to enhance the perfect curling effect. Afterwards, dry your hair with a hair dryer or let it dry naturally.

I like to use it on towel-dried hair and squish it into my hair. After that, I plop it into a towel for a couple of more minutes and then let it air dry.

It's actually really easy to use. The only thing I need to be aware of is to not use too much of it - 1 or 2 pumps is more than enough.

When my hair dries I am left with well-defined curls with a bit of a crunch in them. That's when I squeeze my hair once more (lightly) to break the (very light) cast and I'm done!  And all that with practically no hassle. Easy breezy!

PROS:

+ smells amazing
+ gives me beautifully defined curls without much work
+ I only need this styling product to get my finished curls to look great
+ It lasts a long time (need 1-2 pumps per use)
+ inexpensive (price varies from 7€ to 10€)
+ can get it in drugstores too!

CONS:

- the bottle cap is a tad annoying. Takes me time to close it properly.

OVERALL:

This is my IT product for curly hair. I don't like overly complicated hair routines because I can't get to stick to them. So when I realized that this product does it all for me I was in awe. I mean, one product and such an amazing result?
I was using up to 5 products to get a similar result before. Now I not only save on time, but also on my energy. And that's the biggest win for me.
Plus I love the brand because it was this super fancy brand in my youth and even if some of their products are practically the same, they still work.

I am happy that I managed to get my routine down to 1 product and still have amazing curls. It's a staple in my routine and I think it will stay so.
