L’Oréal Paris False Lash Bambi Oversized Eye

There's a new mascara in town and it's called the L'Oreal Oversized Bambi Eye. I know, it's a mouthful. :) 

I got it from Notino to test it out and I couldn't be more excited about it. 

I usually love mascaras that have gigantic brushes and come with a waterproof formula. This one isn't any of them. But it still gave me a lot to talk about.

The design is simple - a black tube with line art of Bambi. I mean, I didn't notice it was Bambi until now. I thought it was some lightning or maybe smoke. I know it says Bambi, but my brain didn't make the connection that it was the Bambi from the movie. Oops!

It sports a simple silicone black brush and a tad wet formula. I like that it's wetter but not completely wet as it covers my lashes more easily and completely. The brush isn't gigantic and it looks surprisingly simple. There are no weird twists or funky shapes to it. It is a tapered mascara wand. It almost couldn't go simpler than this!

I'm used to mascaras that take 2 or maybe even 3 layers to cover my lashes completely. But with this one, one layer is more than enough. Plus it would be pretty hard to apply a second one (I tried it after a couple of hours) as it dries into a hard cast.

I like how it's "wham, bam (one layer), thank you, ma'am!". I am all for simplicity in my makeup routine. And I'm still shocked at how well it works. I mean, I'd expect it to be mediocre at best, but It's amazing!

PROS:

+ Simple design

+ Wetter formula (perfect for me)

+ One layer is enough for a "WOW" effect

+ Doesn't give me panda eyes 

+ Easy to remove 

+ Lasts the whole day

CONS:

- It's not waterproof

- Mid-price range (12€)

OVERALL:

I think I found my favourite mascara. I mean I only want some length, lots of volume and good lasting power. Simple, right? 

Luckily this one gives all of it, except that it doesn't survive my tears. And I do lot's of crying, especially when I get some sunscreen too close to my eyes. But okay, other than that it lasts surprisingly well and not even did I have racoon eyes! 

I love how bigger it makes my lashes and how more open do my eyes seem! Because of all that I can even go over the price - 12€ isn't a lot for a good mascara, but it's expensive for a mediocre one. 

I can totally recommend it and hopefully, they will make a waterproof Bambi version. Because I need it in my life!
