Tangle Teezer Ultimate Finisher Brush

Tangle Teezer Ultimate Finisher Brush

If you're here with me from the beginning (early 2009) you know that I love me some Tangle Teezer. The first one was gifted to me by the brand, and this last one, The Ultimate was gifted to me by Notino.
I've had about 4 different Tangle Teezers and I could probably still use my first one, but I got kind of tired of it flying out of my hands. Other than that it was very durable and it could last me a lifetime

I love my Tangle Teezer brushes, and I'm very happy that they came to Slovenia to buy them in-store.
But since there are so many different brushes out there, I too did sway from time to time to go back to my beloved Tangle Teezer brushes. I mean, there's nothing as gentle for curly hair out there.
Let's see how this Ultimate Finisher Brush is different from the others. Well, if it is.

Tangle Teezer Ultimate Finisher Brush

The Ultimate Finisher is designed to dry-style and dress the hair. Use it to create updos, volume and texture, add smoothness and shine, and to maintain and blend hair extensions, clip-ins and weaves. The unique teeth are longer, allowing this brush to gently glide through all hair types, with softer tips which smooth hair cuticles for a high shine. It's a perfect finishing brush in your routine.

Well, I don't have sleek, shiny hair, but I have curly, sometimes frizzy hair. So I use my brushes to brush my hair before washing them and after.
So I can't test the claim that it makes hair smoother and shinier, but I can test how well it brushes out my type of hair.

The brush comes packaged in a sleek, plastic box. At the backside of the box, there's the British flag because it's a British brand.

The brush comes in three colours - pink, lilac and black.
I picked the pink version - because my very first Tangle Teezer was pink. Plus I love the pink colour, it brings me joy!

Our patented two-tiered teeth have been adapted for snag-free dry-styling. The long teeth deliver precision by capturing every hair for updos, the shorter teeth smooth the cuticle for a high shine. The soft tips help blend extensions, clip-ins and weaves.

The brush has longer bristles than their regular brushes. It comes closer to your scalp with less pressure. That's something I enjoy - plus that the bristles are so much softer than their classic brushes.

  • detangles and smooths hair gently with a single stroke
  • gentle and long bristles prevent breakage
  • gives hair a natural shine while detangling
  • ideal for styling synthetic hair or hair extensions
  • ergonomic handle for more comfortable manipulation

There's one part of the brush I also love - even more than the pink colour - it's the handle. I missed the handles with all their other brushes. The old brushes kept flying out of my hands whenever I would brush my hair. And finally, that came to an end! Hooray!

PROS:

+ Beautiful brush; it's pink!
+ Inexpensive (13€)
+ Will last you a lifetime (if you want it)
+ Great for detangling curly hair
+ Gentle on the hair
+ Long soft bristles

- Gets dirty easily - mine does whenever I brush my hair

OVERALL:

This must be my favourite Tangle Teezer brush. And well, since I don't use any other brushes, this means it is my favourite brush!
I tried some other brushes too, like the Wet brush but the ends got lost in my curls and then it was just painful. Luckily with this plastic brush that won't happen. It's exactly as you see it. The only thing you can't see is how soft are the bristles
To use the brush you start from the hair ends and slowly work your way up. This way you'll have an easier time detangling your hair and smooth it out. I like that it can be used on dry or wet hair.
Because it's made from plastic you'll have it for a very long time. There's hardly anything that could destroy such a brush.
I would recommend it to all my fellow curly gals.

Have you ever used a Tangle Teezer? How did you like it?
