Autumn is around the corner. With it, it will slowly be time for darker lipstick. It's not that lots of people wear darker colours during the Summer, but that's mostly not the case.
Because of that, I wanted to try a lipstick that I'd love and enjoy enough to wear during the cooler months. My only remaining darker lipstick is the one from The Body Shop which doesn't have a good formulation as it's a bit on the watery/dry side and looks streaky.
I decided to try a raved-about formula by L'Oreal - their Rouge Signature liquid lipstick in the colour I Enjoy 103. Notino was so kind to send it to me for review purposes.

It's a liquid lipstick with a classy looking plastic packaging. It does look really pretty and sturdy.
It comes in 12 different shades from which I picked one of the darkest ones - a deep burgundy colour.

The doe-foot applicator is amazing. It's thin and wide enough that I only need one application to completely cover my lips. It's precisely because of the triangle (heart?) shape.

I was afraid that the application would be a mess and that I'd be left with streaky looking lips.
Luckily, that's not the case. The lipstick goes on smoothly (like a bullet lipstick if not better) and I can say that it has the best formula I've ever tried for a matte liquid lipstick.
Usually, such lipstick have heavy feeling formulas or are very drying, but not L’Oréal Paris Rouge Signature!
I applied only one layer on my lips. After application, I left and went about my day. I completely forgot that I was wearing liquid lipstick! It gave me an "I'm there but not really" feeling which I'm digging. I love lipsticks that feel like nothing.

As easy as it was to apply and wear it does have one downside - it doesn't last as long as other "heavy liquid lipsticks" do. It's also non-drying which is always a plus.
It didn't survive my dinner and it won't survive heavy kissing. A light kiss here and there - sure! But smooching like there's no tomorrow? Nope, it won't do.

Overall:
I love the formula and the applicator. The application is a breeze and with it, I'm not scared of darker colours. Sadly it won't survive lots of kissing but it also doesn't dry your lips out like if you had a classic liquid matte lipstick on. I know that times have changed and it's not 8 years ago when such lipsticks came out, but still. I'm still in awe when a company does it right and creates a lovely formulated liquid lipstick that is easy to wear.
This was my very first L'Oreal Rouge Signature lipstick but it won't be the last. I am digging it!
