Banilla Co. Clean it ZERO Balm

Banilla Co. Clean it ZERO Balm

Urban legend says that every 4,8 seconds 1 Banilla Clean it Zero is being sold. That's quite a lot!
And probably it's not just a legend since they have it written on their website but then again, the internet is not always a reliable source.

But since I read so many great reviews about this product, I really wanted to try it out. But of course, I had no excuse until I used up my previous facial cleanser about which you can read in my Double cleansing routine post.

Once I used up my previous cleanser it was time to order a new one. This time I decided to take the bite and order Banilla co Clean it Zero.

Banilla Co. Clean it ZERO Balm

Lightweight sorbet-like textured makeup removing cleansing balm that whisks away pore-clogging impurities.

Perfectly removing even heavy, tenacious makeup with the mild cleansing ingredients of papaya extract!

Well, the descriptions are quite a thing. They make it sound like the balm is sent straight from Heaven.

I ordered mine from iHerb because I didn't want to wait several weeks for it to get here from Korea. At the time the post lost two of my Korean packages so I didn't want to risk it.

And luckily it is original. With my box, I got a small magnet with which I could check if it's an original product or not.

The spatula that comes included is very handy as I don't have to stick my finger in the balm which is pretty soft and semi-solid

The thing I was the most impressed with was the scent. It has a light and very pleasant scent that reminds me of cherry petals. Each use feels like a bit of pampering because of the lovely scent it has.

The balm is easy to use and with the spatula, I can get enough product to remove my heavy duty makeup and sunscreen.

Under my fingers, it melts and spreads easily which helps remove all of the makeup I wore during the day. If a mascara is being stubborn I repeat the process as the balm isn't as effective at removing waterproof mascaras as the oil I was using before was.

INCI INGREDIENTS:

Mineral oil, cetyl ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 glyceryl triisostearate, PEG-10 isostearate, polyethylene, butylene glycol, water, rubus suavissimus (raspberry) leaf extract, bambusa arundinacea stem extract, aspalathus linearis leaf extract, viscum album (mistletoe) leaf extract, angelica polymorpha sinesis root extract, carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, malpighia glabra (acerola) fruit extract, epilobium angustifolium leaf extract, BHT, butylparaben, Cl 16255, Cl 15985, fragrance.

If you want to know more about the ingredients you can read them on Skincarisma.

Here's a before and after. I used the balm on pretty heavy makeup and washed the balm off with lukewarm water

Banilla Co. Clean it ZERO Balm

+ cleans off the makeup nicely
+ easy to use
+ pleasant to use (feels like pampering)
+ has a lovely scent
+ great packaging

- the price (18$)
- gets used quickly (I got mine back in September and I have only a 1/3rd left)
- if you are sensitive to mineral oil, this isn't for you
- need to re-do the cleansing step if you're using waterproof mascara

I thought that this balm was an overpriced gimmick but once I started using it I understood why many people love it. It's a great first step cleanser that is gentle on the skin
The scent is perfect (at least for me) and the packaging is so pretty I really enjoy looking at it.
Using it is also a special experience as it goes from a buttery cream to an oil in a matter of seconds.
I don't think that it is better than other oily cleansers but using it feels a bit like pampering. The price is steep especially considering that one pot lasts for about 3 months. My oil lasted me for 10 months and I paid a similar price for it.
I think I'll purchase it again but not right away I use it up as I have several other oil cleansers to use up before. I think that everyone should decide for themselves if this product is something they'd use and need. For me it's lovely.

Have you tried the Banilla co Clean it Zero? If so, let me know in the comments below.
