Revolution Skincare Conditioning Rice CLEANSING POWDER

Revolution Skincare Conditioning Rice

Beware! I have got my hands on a new shiny product - the Revolution Skincare Rice Peeling (Cleanser).
It is supposedly a knock off of the cult Dermalogica daily peeling (microfoliant) which comes with a hefty price of almost 57 euro comparing to 15€ for the Revolution Skincare.
I've never had the chance to try that one but I was always curious about how it would work for me.

Revolution Skincare Conditioning Rice CLEANSING POWDER

A rice powder infused cleansing powder.Infused with rice powder to absorb excess sebum and exfoliate the skin, Revolution Skincare’s Conditioning Rice Cleansing Powder is perfect for keeping skin in check while travelling. The innovative powder cleanses the skin while the rice powder acts as an anti-inflammatory, leaving complexions feeling smooth and re-energised.

Looking quickly at the ingredients it seems that Dermalogica comes packed with extra interesting ones - like Salycid acid that helps with blemishes and liquorice that helps with skin brightening. While Revolution Skincare contains only rice (and several starches) that help with the peeling part.

I like that the product is very easy to dispense - the holes are big enough that nothing gets stuck in them. One shake is enough for my whole face. You just need to add a bit of water then and you're ready to go. Slap it on your face and spread it in a circular motion.

The powder has almost no scent when it's dry and even less when it's wet. I like that as it's a nice change from all the products with strong scents.

I use it once or max twice a week because I'm afraid that I would overuse and then my skin wouldn't be too happy.
I can say that after each use my skin feels smooth and clean. It's refreshing! Plus it only takes 3 minutes to exfoliate my skin.

PROS:

+ It's a simple product - exfoliates well.
+ Has no scent
+ It takes about 3 minutes to use it (with washing off)
+ Leaves my skin smooth and clean
+ Travel friendly
+ Inexpensive (for such a product) - about 14€
+ Sturdy packaging

CONS:

- Is a bad knockoff Dermalogica. Doesn't contain all the extra skin lightening and blemish-free ingredients

OVERALL:

This is a good, basic product. For everyone that likes fuss-free exfoliators.
It's probably not a good Dermalogica knock-off as it doesn't contain all the special ingredients and thus targets only at the cleansing and skin smoothing part. I mean, I don't mind but something extra at a lower price would be lovely. ;)
I do enjoy it and I can see it being a staple in my skincare routine. Especially because I can't use harsh acids during Summer days.
If you'd like to get it on sale, I saw that Notino currently has it.

Do you use psychical exfoliants? Which are your favourites?
