Maybelline Tattoo Brow Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Gel

Maybelline Tattoo Brow Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Gel

Now that we're at home (at least those who can be, are - to all the others - THANK YOU!) we have lots of time to read. Or binge watch TV and several shows. Also, homeschool our children.

That's one of the reasons why I got so excited when I realized that such a product as Maybelline Tattoo Brow exists. I mean, I am lazy when it comes to my brows. But it still takes me 5 minutes to do them every morning.
What if I could just skip that step? Just let them be?

Well, yes. That's possible without the risk (of doing a sloppy job) of permanent eyebrow colours.
I've done those too and loved them - but they didn't last longer than 2 weeks on me because of my use of oily cleansers.

Anyway. Now that I'm at home I have all the time in the world do just be. Not do my eyebrows, not do my makeup. Nothing. But still. With my eyebrows on I feel more like a human.

I was kindly sent this product by Notino. They put up with some of my silly requests - thank you!

Let's see how this product worked for me.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Gel

Three simple steps for perfect eyebrows. Apply, leave on, peel off, and then simply enjoy your perfect, natural-looking brows for up to 3 days. The Maybelline Tattoo Brow semi-permanent eyebrow gel colour will give your brows a more intense shade and a perfect shape while making them look thicker.

The gel comes in a mascara-like tube. The end of the applicator is a sturdy brush that keeps the thick gel on the brush.

The application is similar to eyebrow dyes. Except there is no mess - you just take the Tattoo Brow and use the brush to apply it on the desired areas.

How to use:

Step 1: Put the gel on dry and clean eyebrows using the applicator to create your desired shape and fill in your eyebrows for a thicker look. Correct any mistakes immediately with a cotton bud dipped in makeup remover.

Step 2: Let the product dry for at least 20 minutes. Leave on for 2 hours to achieve a long-lasting 3-day effect.

Step 3: Carefully peel the gel off the brows. To keep colour intact as long as possible, stay away from makeup removers containing alcohol or those designed to remove waterproof makeup.

Here are my eyebrows beforeduring the process (I left it on for 20 min) and after.

Maybelline Tattoo Brow Semi-Permanent Eyebrow Gel

You can leave the gel on the eyebrows from 20 minutes up to 2h. I've noticed that if I leave it for a bit longer (than 20 min) it stays for a day longer.

Characteristics:
  • perfect eyebrows for up to 3 days in 3 easy steps
  • gives eyebrows colour and temporarily enhances its look
  • gradually released pigments allow you to control the intensity
  • thin applicator ensures precise application and shape
  • thanks to the gel texture, the tint is easy to apply and doesn’t run
  • gentle, doesn’t irritate the skin or the eyes

Here are my eyebrows on day 2. I think it looked pretty natural - I got it in the colour Dark Brown.

PROS:

+ Easy to use
+ Doesn't spill (it's thick and slime-like)
+ Lasts up to 3 days
+ Non-irritating!
+ Doesn't hurt when you pull the dried colour off
+ Lasts for several uses (I'm currently at 3+ and I've still got plenty)
+ Price; less than 10€

CONS:

- Waiting period (20min minimum). You may look scary during this time.
- If you use oil cleansers it may last a tad less time

Overall:

I know some of you swear by getting your eyebrows done. But I did that and now I just can't find the time to do that (plus my lady who did that is hard to reach). Also, now we should say at home and I have all the time of the world to do my eyebrows. :D
Now, to the product - It's easy to use, mess-free and lasts for up to 3 days. I know you may say "but why only 3 days?!". Well, it's semi-permanent. For a change. Or for us, lazy people. You pick.
I may not enjoy walking around during the waiting period (my kid gets scared!), but other than that I am a fan of Maybelline Tattoo Brow gel. I'm happy that I don't have to do my eyebrows every single day. And I can spare 20 minutes while I'm cooking lunch or cleaning.

So, what do you think? Would you try it?
