Eucerin Sun Pigment Control SPF 50+

Eucerin Sun Pigment Control SPF 50+

Summer came in very quick 3 days and got me unexpectedly. Luckily I'm a year-long sunscreen user so there's nothing new in that depart.
Except that when Summer comes I switch a Korean formulation for a European one. Mostly because of last year's Purito fiasco and because I noticed some small melasma under my eyes. :o

This year I'm using the Eucerin face sunscreen that comes with the SPF 50.

Eucerin Sun Pigment Control SPF 50+

Eucerin Sun Fluid Pigment Control SPF50 is an everyday facial sunscreen for all skin types and helps prevent sun-induced hyperpigmentation. Advanced broadband and photostable UVA/UVB filters with Licochalcone A neutralise free radicals caused by UV light, while Glycyrrhetinic Acid support's your skin's DNA repair mechanism.

My skin looks mostly fine - now not as much as it did before I started getting some allergy flareups. But still good enough without many pigment marks. Except for that small melasma under both eyes that I was able to see only while using my phone's camera. But if the camera sees, there it is.

But since there are those small problematic areas, I'm hoping that using the Eucerin Sun Pigment Control SPF will help with that.

And because the days are nice and long and ultimately hot (we already have 30 degrees C), I'm already planning my first trip to the beach.

I'll take with me a nice book to read, the facial sunscreen from Eucerin, its bigger version for my body and my trusty water bottle.

  • Light texture that isn't greasy or sticky
  • Fast absorbing
  • Non-comedogenic and suitable for wearing under makeup

What I like about it is the pump dispenser. I use 2-3 pumps for my face.

How to use

Apply generously before sun exposure and frequently reapply, especially after swimming, perspiring or towelling to maintain the original protection. Reducing the quantity will lower the level of protection significantly. Do not stay too long in the sun, even while using a sunscreen product.
Over-exposure to the sun is a serious health threat

The cream comes out firm and off-white with a nice creamy texture. When I spread it is first a tad white, but it vanishes in about a minute. It leaves a nice light sheen
It doesn't feel sticky or heavy. It also has a nice light perfumed scent that is masking the alcohol scent. Luckily the scent dissipates in a matter of minutes.

I have high hopes for the long-term use of this sunscreen. For the short while I've been using it, it has been lovely. My eyes don't burn and don't feel heavy. Actually, I forget I have anything on after I apply it.

I am a fan of this sunscreen but need more time to see if it will help get rid of my pigments without me reapplying it every 2 hours. Because that's kind of impossible in my day to day life. But on vacation, that's a sure yes, baby!
