Alpstories

I've been testing some Alpstories products for the past several months (about four) and I'm finally ready to tell you how my experience went.

Here I'm ready to share with you one of my beloved products from them that actually ended in a favorites post, here. And even before this multipurpose product, I was raving about their shampoo, here.

But before I begin, let's start with a little bit about Alpstories.

Who are they? What is their mission?

At AlpStories natural cosmetics, we learn from nature and strive to create formulas that are as rich and diverse as the alpine nature.
AlpStories products are created without parabens, synthetic fragrances, mineral oils and silicones, that will leave you feeling naturally beautiful both inside and out.
They go by an old saying ""There is an herb for every ailment".

Which to be true, I find hilarious since it recalls the memory from the movie "Kekec". ;D
". ;D  Also, their cosmetics is mixed and made by a robot - Baltazar

Rose moisturizing face cream (26€)

Rose Hydrating Face Cream is a special treatment for sensitive and dehydrated skin. The composition of shea butter, roses, sunflowers and calendula intensively moisturize.
Renewed  the epidermis, protects against photo aging and regenerate. Reduces wrinkles and the skin becomes more elastic and radiant. Its high content of vitamin gives the skin the necessary moisture and gives it a youthful glow.
Active ingredients are from certified organic farming. Vegan product.

My thoughts:
I thought that a rose cream would smell more like dried roses (as do usually such creams smell like, which can be a bit unpleasant, but since I got used to it, I like the scent), but it does not. It smells more like artificially scented roses, not bad, but not what I was expecting, especially from a company that thrives on being on the organic and natural side. Why the perfume, why?!

My skin is a combination type with a bit of sensitive thrown into it.
I used the cream twice a day, morning and evening. The cream itself is very light, has a white color is easy to spread and apply, and sinks into the skin quickly
When I cleaned or more like overcleaned (heavy makeup or I just used a facial cleansing brush), my skin would burn when the cream came in contact with it. Oh!
The feeling would sustain after a couple of minutes and everything would be fine.

But it didn't do much for my dehydrated skin (I lacked a good serum in my skincare routine). I had high hopes for it, but it sadly didn't deliver.

100% Pure Organic Argan Oil (18€)

Rich in vitamin E, essential fatty acids, and proteins, argan oil helps to fight lines, repairs imperfections, minimizes scars and stretch marks; all while restoring texture, elasticity and tone of your skin.
Argan oil can act as a moisturizer for the scalp to fight dandruff and dry scalp. It can also promote the growth of hair and even undo some of the damage done through chemical treatments and dyes. It can be used to treat split ends.

My thoughts:
Never before I have used argan oil. I did use jojoba oil for a couple of years, yes. But I wasn't so sure what to expect of this golden oil, that has been the hype of all the hair industry for the past year and a half.

Since my skin is combined, I was advised to use it for my hair, maybe for my body. But I still went and used it on my dehydrated skin

And you know what? It really helped to make the small dry scales on my skin go away. The downside was that it was making me break out - not a lot, but just enough that I needed about a month to notice it, haha!

I love oils, I really do. And this one is no different. Perfect for dry skin, maybe even normal skin, but for us almost oily, it's better to be used on our scalp, hair, and body. You can find another review of mine of it, here. I'm seriously impressed at how good it works for my body skin and my hair! Love it!

Cleansing Tonic Marigold And Chamomile (13€)

100% natural mild skin tonic gently removes impurities and works antibacterial.
A combination of valuable herbal extracts affects regularizing of the tallow production and skin-clarifying. Inflammatory skin reactions are reduced and your skin appears more clear and fresh.

How to use: After cleansing in the morning and evening, apply evenly onto the face, neck and décolleté then gently press into the skin. Specially recommended for dry skin.
My thoughts:
The first thing that I noticed with this tonic was the scent. It was quite strong (when applied on the skin), and it smelled like chamomile. Dried ones. So yay! Such weird scents get me all excited and happy to use a product. I'm weird like that, yes.

I also like the packaging, the pump is easy to use - but sometimes the tonic would practically fly out of it all over the floor. Whoops!

I normally cleaned my skin with water and a cleansing product and after I'd use this tonic to refresh it and clean it more thoughtfully. But again, my skin would burn. Not always, but sometimes, when I cleaned it roughly or I don't know. It was winter, it was cold and my skin was in a really bad shape.

I wasn't too impressed with it, but I am sure that there are ladies out there that swear by it. My skin just got super sensitive in the last year and it seems that lots of things just don't work with it.

Overall I am super excited that I got to try some lovely product, even if some of them didn't work for me. I am still in love with their shampoo (but they should ditch the double packaging, as should all other companies - no need to create extra waste) and the Argan oil remains a constant in my beauty regime.

And you, have you tried anything from Alpstories?

*These products were sent to me by the company or their PR. My reviews are always honest.
