CATRICE Sound of Silence - Golden Lip Glow

We've all been expecting the new Catrice's Limited Edition, and now that it finally is here - let me show you the lipstick from their collection. :)

You can see the whole edition here and let me just tell you - WOW - how gorgeous it is. It looks a bit ethereal to me. Maybe it's not for everyone, but I am totally digging the white & gold feeling. And it's the same every single Summer.

GOLDEN LIP GLOW

Desert Rose. The lightly pigmented lipstick with a fine, golden shimmer core provides fresh colour with a shiny finish.
The lipstick feels a bit heavy in the hand, which I like because it makes it feel more  luxurious. The design of the lipstick cap is also lovely. The lines make me believe that any scratches won't be as visible as they normally would be. Not that I've ever hit my lipstick or maimed it in any other way, no.

The lip glow has a golden center and a cool toned pink around it. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from it ...

But I guess it's more of a lip balm than a regular lipstick. It is also quite moisturizing, but won't survive nor eating nor drinking. I'd say it's a lip balm in a luxurious packaging.

On my lips

I noticed that the effect is buildable but then the pink stands out more (like those pale lipsticks that were popular a while ago) which I am not a big fan of.  I think I'd stick with it as a regular lip balm because that's a thing it's better at. :)

I have also tried it pairing it with a dark lip pencil (applied all over my lips) and it gave my lips a nice shine plus because of it, my lips looked fuller and weren't feeling dry. But the lipstick got terribly dirty and I could hardly get the lip pencil pigment off.

So, if you thought this was a lipstick and wanted to use it for that purpose, move along, there's nothing to see here. ;)

I like it and I'll definitely be carrying it around this Summer. What about yourself?
