Blogger Interview Series

I find it interesting to read about someone's beginning in the blogging world and this is why I am gladly participating in this short interview. I was tagged by This Guy Can.

How did you get into blogging?
I first started thinking about blogging back in 2008 when I started getting into this beautiful world of blogs. They have just started to "catch" in Slovenia (as in people started opening them) and I found some of my favorite blogs back then. I was regularly looking for reviews online on some products that interested me, but I didn't find enough of them to get a proper idea about a product. If I did find reviews they were badly written or too short without enough details in them. That's the moment when I thought that I can do better. I mean I love reviewing products and recommending them to my friends in real life (I'm a born seller, they say) and I wanted to do it on a blog too.
The beginning was less than spectacular, I was ashamed of putting myself online but in a couple of months I did get over that. I would also like to thank the Parokeets ladies that were very encouraging and a true inspiration when it comes to blogging.

What advice would you give to a blogger just starting out?
First think about why you are blogging or why do you want to blog? What purpose will your blog serve? Is it reviews? Outfits? Maybe something completely different? Then when you find what inspires you and experiment with that. Try taking different pictures (if there will be any) - pin them on pinterest and see what they have in common. Try recreating them. Explore!

What would be your dream campaign?
I think it would have to do with a flower-themed collection. I am not exactly sure which brand but I do dream of helping with awareness of taboos in our society. If it's through a beauty campaign, then be it.

Do you have a plan for your blog?
Well I only recently decided to focus more on my blog and do something out of it. I would like to get more people to read it and I'm also thinking about expanding to YouTube or some similar platform. I am also looking forward creating better images and a more user-friendly experience on my blog.

What do you think about rankings?
I think they are very important especially if you want to work with companies. They do care a lot about such things because it may bring them new customers. Also the higher you rank the more are they willing to pay for a post/ad. But I do also think that all content is valuable.

I nominate the following bloggers to take part in the interview:
