Review: Eyeko Extra Glow Cream

Hi dolls,

I have enough of myself being super lazy and busy and neglecting my blog. After all my blog is more than just me writing a couple of words and posting photos. It's a story about my passion and sharing it with many, many friends. <3

So this review is for all of you who wanted to know how does this cream perform in real life.

The packaging is cheap looking, but I absolutely love the box it came in. It's very pretty and optimistic if you ask me. It would be just great if they could match the box with the actual packaging.

But the good side is that the packaging is travel friendly.

The cream alone is light pink, with lots of micro shimmer in it. It shines with a metallic shine. Pretty.

I don't know about the cream with the original formula (Eyeko cream), but this cream is quite sturdy. It's creamy, yes but I was expecting something runnier.

It spreads easily which makes it super simple to apply.  But you have to be very quick, since it dries in less than a minute.

It leaves a shiny stain on your skin, which is great for enhancing your features. I used it over mineral foundation and that didn't work out too well. It got all patchy and no one dared to tell me! :<
I only noticed that after I got home. But it works perfectly with liquid, cream or any similar foundations. And BB creams too.

The effect is very hard to photograph on my skin, so lets just pretend you see the shine on the picture above :P.

Comparison between tinted moisturizer and extra glow cream

Since it's summer now and I get shiny (ehm, dewy) without any creams (I actually have quite a problem keeping my skin matte in this hot weather!), I am not using this now. But I am sure it will be perfect for winter and autumn. Or maybe for summer nights, but then.. lets be realistic - I prefect using bronzers ;).

Pros:
+ Comes in a pretty box (I'm a sucker for pretty things)
+ Travel friendly package
+ Is quite cheap (especially during their sales!)
+ Does well its job
+ It is moisturizing
+ It's long lasting on my skin (combination)

Cons:
- I think it's useless during summer time
- I dislike the smell (plastic?)
- The glow may be a little too much for some people
- It dries in less than 1 minute
- Doesn't work well over mineral foundation (powder)

Overall:
As you can see there are many positive and negative sides of this cream. I don't think I would repurchase it because I prefer highlighters in powder form (or even better - blushes with sparkles in them). But since it does last on my skin all day long it's pretty decent. If you want a highlighter in cream form and you aren't sure what to get - well this cream is not that bad.

*This product was purchased by myself. My opinion is always honest.
