Review: Essence This is Me lipstick (renewed line!)

Essence has put out a renewed line of lipsticks. The package is different and the lipsticks felt different!

I tried all of them but bought only one. The range goes from a true red lipstick to pinks and it finishes with two browns. Some of them are shimmery (not like the old version which was quite annoying shimmery – you could feel the shimmer on your lips), and some of them are cream.

I got myself only one, which truly obsessed me. It's called This is Me, and I heard that the color was similar to the old version.

The package is really pretty. The color of it varies, depending on the color of the lipstick itself. So if you picked a brown lipstick, it should be in a brown package.

I think the package is cute, not really cheap looking. The silver one was a disaster. But we all know that I love pink items.

The texture is really creamy, it also didn't dry my lips when they were already feeling dry and needed a lip treatment. They give some moisture to the lips.
But if you put it on chapped lips it will show. So do exfoliate your lips before applying any lipstick. Although this lipstick is forgiving. I had a few chapped lips, but it didn't really show up much.

The lipstick lasts quite a while, but it won't survive eating or drinking.
The lipstick itself isn't very opaque in one coat. But it's buildable.

I usually wear it toned down, or if my eye make up is very gentle, I build it up.

Toned down with lip balm

Packed on

The lipsticks also have a gentle scent. Does it smell something like candy, marshmallow maybe? I find it very cute, appropriate for younger generations. I love it :)!

Pros:
+The price!
+Package is super cute!
+Smells very nice (yum!).
+Stays on long enough (a couple of hours).
+ The range has lipsticks with a creamy texture, and some of them are shimmery.

Cons:
-I really can't think of any.

Price: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥ (about 2€)

Rating: 4/5♥♥♥♥ I love this color, and it's great for everyday wear!

Overall: I love the packaging, the scent and the creamy texture. Even the staying power is quite good for this price. The best part is that it isn't drying, is moisturizes my lips a tiny bit. You can always tone down the color (if it's too strong for you) or build it up (for a WOW factor). I wish essence would put out more colors, like more reds (now there's only one I'd love if there was a red with orange undertone and one with blue undertone). But for now it's one of the best lipsticks I've tried. Great for everyday wear, very subtle but yet strong. Plus it suits my skin tone a lot. I would suggest it to my readers :)!
